If You Could Have Ten Pieces Of Art In Your Residence What Would They Be?

I would get one of those Banksy reprints in every room in my house so it would indicate to my friends I am cutting edge.

My father is a painter, and I have 30-40 paintings of his in my house. He has more in storage, so I can swap out every once in a while. I have a couple of pieces from other artists for personal reasons, but honestly I wouldn't hang someone else's work in my house when I have a painting from my father available. Sorry I can't really participate in the exercise.

 

This painting made me stop in my tracks at the Chicago Art Institute. It's in my top 5. By Jules Breton.

Not even remotely an art guy but I do actually have a copy of this one hanging up. Can't explain it, but there is a reason it is legendary.

Saw Picasso's Guernica in person at the Museo Reina Sofia in Spain 13 years ago. I could feel my heart racing as I looked at it. I don't know if it was just the sheer size (11' 5" tall by 25' 6" wide) or the subject matter or what. All I know is that no other painting has ever done that to me since.
