Yes it has... John Lucas was going to be very good until drugs ruined his career. Steve Francis had all the physical tools but his career was complete crash and burn in the second half.

I suppose the centers (Olajuwon, Malone, Yao, Howard, Sampson) and Hayes off set any loss at the point guard position. Really you roll with Harden at point and Drexler as SG.... McGrady can play the 3..... Hayes gets the nod at the 4....

There it is. The top 5 Rockets in history. Apologies to Rudy T and Murphy for just missing the cut.

I think we have a winner here. People forget (or never knew) just how dominant Elvin Hayes and Moses Malone were.

Hence me putting Smith at point. With Dream, Harden, Drexler, and Sampson, I figured there would be enough playmaking. Smith just needs to sit in a corner and look pretty.

The other reason most aren't picking Hayes is because he had ONE season in Houston.

Yet you listed Kenny over Murphy

The way he talked on broadcasts, I always thought of him as a shooter who didn't pass.. but PG is cool. That era is before my time.

Had him listed PG in my Starting 5 though.

    I know everything that happened.

He had a great 1/4 season.
Most of his love is Cougar/POR-based.

He's not ludicrous for an All-Time option though.

    C-Hakeem
    Pf-ralph Sampson or thorpe
    Sf Horry
    Sg drexler
    Pg kenny smith

It's all about chemistry. Just because they're a bunch of big names doesn't mean they'll click together. I pick sampson or thorpe because those two pf's just clicked well with hakeem and so did the rest of those guys.
