Random 2007 Flashback - Steve Novak

    Jeff recently found these old clips doing some cleaning of a web server -- you might have to be a longtime member of the board to appreciate them.

    8 years ago, after the offseason of 2007, we tried doing a thing on ClutchFans where we posted a phone number where fans could leave voicemail messages and we would highlight the best ones on the site. We quickly scrapped the idea when it became a nightmare to get them to mp3 format and available online, but some of the messages left when we launched it were pretty funny.

    One fan left this message about Steve Novak.

    (a year later, the Rockets traded Novak to the Clippers for a random 2nd round pick swap option three years down the road. That option allowed the Rockets to swap the 47th pick for the 38th pick in the 2011 Draft ... a pick they used to select Chandler Parsons)

    I put in thought to call that number but chickened out. (Woulda just been some 2007 obscure inside joke references anyway)

    I have recently thought "What happened to that CF phone-in?". Now we know!
