2 sliders 3 foot outside, and then with runners in scoring position taking strikes and then swinging at a ball 2 foot over his head? Well, i've not seen a hitter do as bad in one game as this guy did tonight.
F.cking WOW are there some idiots around here. Guess you take the cake. My GAWD, what a stupid f.cking comment. I'm so stunned by the stupidity that I can't even muster a reasonable response other than to shame you. GTFO and STFU
yeah i can understand starting castro because the rangers can run, but not PH conger in that spot especially against a RHP is mind-boggling. he already did well v royals in his 1st road start. our offense is more of the problem
Yeah can't forget him failing again against a lefty in a big spot. He is worthless and can't be trusted in big spots anymore.
Then, again, you haven't watched much baseball. While Altuve sucked bad tonight...most around here have seen far worse performances. Jus' sayin'.
I re-worded it... not afraid to "waste" a bat, but just afraid to be down to no backup catcher in general. And as much advanced analytics that this team employs, they were still banking that Castro was on a "hot streak" in order to justify him batting there... and I'm perfectly ok with that (because there are some aspects of the game that aren't explained entirely by statistics alone).
How frustrating has the past 2 games been? McCullers getting lit up and taken out after only managing 1 out, rotation gets completely thrown off, 3 HR's with 1 being a grand slam, and now 2 different situations with a runner a 3rd with less than 2 outs to tie the game, and they score 0 runs. All of this against the Rangers too!!!
Frustrating, yes. Will it be remember in October when we're battling our asses off against the Royals and Yankees? No.
Altuve was awful, and one at bat he quit, the other one is shameful to see An All Star with the game on the line swing at a ball that looked like a piƱata.
Preston Tucker still can't bend his arm after he got plunked, apparently. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">"I can't bend it," Tucker said of right arm.</p>— Jose de Jesus Ortiz (@OrtizKicks) <a href="https://twitter.com/OrtizKicks/status/628773254182756352">August 5, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
No, I knew that's what you meant...that's what I was replying to. There's no way Hinch is sacrificing what he thinks would be the best decision because he's worried about not having a backup catcher in extra innings.
Guys, i think that Clutch Fan should take Altuve and insert a pic of Correa. The face of this team is Correa, NOT ALTUVE.
In no particular order: Hinch Altuve Correa Rasmus Gattis Tucker Valbuena Carter Castro Strailly Sipp Am I leaving anyone out? Oh, and Marwin, just because he kept drilling the ball right at their guys.
Is not a complain, just AN OBSERVATION. Now, who do you think is the face of the Astros???? Altuve?????
Well, i think it should be BEST player or pitcher. Either Correa or K. I take Correa, i think he is already best player on the team.
