The guy was probably being sarcastic. Hard to tell without the grin emoji.

The subtle but effective Pablo Prigioni effect - safe ballhandling

Literally just Prigioni trotting the ball up the court and passing to the left and right cleanly into a teammate's hands without giving it to other team had PRODUCTIVE effect on offense, even though he didnt shoot much and missed when he did.

Just a steady hand was a benefit. Now imagine what an actual low turnover guard with added playmaking skills like Ty Lawson can do.

Also, the amount of live ball turnovers we give up doesn't even have to improve drastically. Warriors were 6th in the NBA in amount of liveball turnovers this past season.

We need our overall turnover rate to improve. In the 2013-14 season, Warriors were just as bad as us in overall turnover rate. But this past season they got it up to average.

Oh and for the worry about our defensive rebounding, Warriors were in the 20s in defensive rebounding rate. So we would need to improve a small amount or so. If that can happen, there is no reason we won't have a top 5 defense.

    Pretty much.

Fortunately, Lawson isn't scared to shoot or have the ball in his hands like Prigs. We got to the point in the playoffs (especially the GS series) where we were essentially playing 4-on-5 basketball on the offensive end. Plenty have emphasized this point already, but the fact that a Curry type is going to be forced to play defense now is going to be crucial.

I'm not sure it's even a given that Lawson will start.

Lawson gives us the flexibility to play as a starter and off the bench. His playmaking and scoring will be huge for us.

I don't think that's what he meant by "court time"

Just my opinion, but I think Lawson helps your offense more than Beverley helps your defense. Lawson may even help your defense, as discussed in the article.

I guess it's irrelevant who starts. Lawson should get about 30 minutes, and Beverley about 20-25.
