Who would you rather have as your center? Yao Ming or Ben Wallace? Yao Ming is 7-5. Ben Wallace is 6-9. Yao Ming is almost 23 years old. Ben Wallace is 29. Ben Wallace's efficiency is 22.84, Yao Ming's is 17.65. Ben Wallace just doesn't have any type of offense at all. He sucks horribly on offense. They are both paid around the same amount. So who would you rather have?

Cuttino Mobley - almost 28 years old.
Richard Hamilton - 25 years old.
    Mobley - 15.23 efficiency. Hamilton - 14.77 efficiency.
Mobley is paid 5 million while Hamilton has signed a new 62 million dollar contract giving him about 9 million a year.
Who would you rather have? Mobley or Hamilton?

Buddy, are you kidding me? Big Ben is a centre because he is in Eastern Conf. where I will say, no centre at all, or all undersize. No compare between these two.

I took Rip over Cat, since at this point, Rip=Cat, but he is 5 years younger, and can develop well, plus his contract is still a good deal in this hypermarket, if KT can get paid like that, I believe Rip worth it. For Cat, I didn't give up, let's see what is going on the JVG on the team, then reassess the whole team again, up to now, Cat still lives up to his salary.

ILL TAKE YAO OVER BEN ANY TIME... Ben is a center in the east... Most East centers are undersized or the ones that are centers are super weak... Kind of like Jason Collier going to Europe to make one of the strongest frontlines... HAHAHAHAHA... well yeah anyway ben is a power forward in the west...

And ill take rip over cat cuz rip is just simply better than cat... or well they are about the same.. but rip is going to get better... cat is about to enter his prime... rip is still 23... so ill take rip

Ben Wallace is Kelvin Cato with the right attitude. Still not better than Yao Ming in the WC IMO.

Rip vs Cat? Depends on who's coaching and the type of offensive sets being ran. On second thought, Mobley's cheaper...any chance we can get into the EC? :D

Ben Wallace has the offensive moves of a bobblehead doll...He's basically Dennis Rodman without the green hair.

I'll take Mobley because he knows his role as the second or third option on offense. Rip Hamilton is a run-of-the-mill shooting guard who thinks he's a superstar...

I'd love to have Ben Wallace as a PF/Intimidator. But he's undersized as a center even by EC stadards. Hell, he's undersized as a PF by WC standards. I like Cat a little bit more than Rip, his defense and shooting are both slightly better.

You never want your best player in the team to be one that cannot score or shoot free throws...

Well of course I would choose Yao too. But it would be nice to have Ben Wallace at the 4. He is quite cheap considering what he does for the Pistons....and he was traded by the Magic for mr always injured Grant Hill. And what the Magic needs is a guy like Ben Wallace.

Anyways....Mobley is probably a better one-on-one scorer than Hamilton. Mobley is probably stronger and a better defender too. But Richard Hamilton is very quick and is a good spot up shooter. He is taller as well. But he makes 4 million more per year. I'd go with Mobley just because I'm a homer but I do think Hamilton is just a little worse. Would I trade Mobley for Hamilton? No.

I want to here the explanation of the people who chose Wallace over Yao.

I can understand taking Rip over Cat (though I chose Cat, because I think he can create for himself better)... but Wallace? He might be better on defense now... but he's older and has no more potential.

...and of course, there is the little matter of heighth... (and dexterity, and a shot, and ball handling, and passing creativity...)

I'd take Ben as a 4 for the Rox. He has one thing that the other 4 in the poll can't match: heart. He's undersized, yet rips down boards like a madman, gets blocks like none other, and can even steal the ball. He's a defensive machine. He plays all out for however long he's in the game; that's why I loved him in the limited minutes he got in Orlando. Definitely Yao over Big Ben, but I still love Ben.
