Only have a German passport, so I hope it will be fine ...they might ask me some questions when I get back to the US, but I don't think this could be sufficient reason for refusing me to enter the US...
That could work, but: A trolling motor would get you anything your heart desires, well anything that common people have readily available. Better yet, if you had a trolling motor and one of those real big Rubbermaid rubber trash can lids... Rubbermaid Rubber Trash can lid + trolling motor = trip for 8 to the bountiful shores of the U.S.
There are supposed to be amazing beaches there. I would definitely count on some beach time if I were you.
When I go back and forth between Seychelles and the States, I always have my Sey passport stamped on my way into the islands...what I always thought was funny about that is, when I go back to the States, my passport records indicate that I left the country, went into oblivion for a while, and then miraculously have come back, because there are only departure stamps on it. I don't know if now they check more closely these days...before they never even opened it up. Guess I will find out next year. Sir jackie, any plans to hit up Sey?
Well, I'm here now. Unfortunately, it's kind of cloudy. Beautiful country. It's so funny to see all these old, huge American cars on the streets - almost like going 50 years back in time. People are really friendly. I haven't done any sightseeing yet. One thing I noticed is that I haven't been able to access the amnesty international website from this Internet cafe here (someone told me to check if it is possible). Hope having tried it doesn't get me in trouble ;-). However, I am staying at a modern hotel that has CNN and some other international programs on TV. Will report more once I have seen more and will also try taking some pictures. prempeh, unfortunately I will not make it to the Seychelles this time - something I have to reserve for another trip, but I definitely want to go there within the next two years.
