It looks alright in those crappy graphics, hehe. I wish they used round neck instead of v-neck though. Nit-picking here but i Think a better color could of been used for the collar instead of white.

They don't look bad, given the graphics. I would actually say they look good. The Rockets have an Ohio State thing going now.

"That's not the final design. The official uniform is still being created. That was an early design." :D

We now officially need this "Zoom in" feature on all threads containing pictures of either Britney Spears and/or Vida Guerra. Thank you.

i really love those new uniforms, however, i'm suprised they chose that cut for the jersey, and the font on the front is not at all what i expected, and i don't really like the fabric selection after all of the talk about a new type of dri-fit type jersey, and one of the lines doesn't really match what was seen on a quarter of an inch of the bottom of the side of cuttino's shorts in that picture i saw of him in the background....

does anyone think i am unwise to make a judgment about the uniforms based on the graphics of a video game which may or may not be accurate, and are obviously not very detail conscious?? just wondering.

On another website it was posted that the red in the rockets uniform is supposed to closely match the red that the Tampa Bay Bucs use.

Well NBA Jam doesnt have it correct all the way,

1.............The Rockets are going with 3/4 length shoulders as recommended by the players, sorta like Philly and Phoenix but not as large. If you look at the photo of Cat (for those who still have it like I) you can clearly see just how wide the shoulders will be. This screenshot NBA Jam has shows a jersey of a "traditional cut" style, kinda like the the now old PJ's or the Kings uni's, and that's WRONG.

2..............The jersey will have TWO continous elliptical circles all the way around the arms, NOT TWO elliptical circles that fade into ONE as shown in the NBA Jam screenshot, which is WRONG.

3............... The trim on the "V-neck" is supposed to fade from thin on the shoulders to thick at the vertex of the "V." Not thick all the way as in the NBA Jam screenshot, which is WRONG. See the triangular shape on the shorts for reference, especially in the photo of Cat. When it comes to these triangles, think Star Trek.

4................The Rockets "Type R" logo is supposed to be in the triangular shape on the shorts. I dont recall seeing that in the NBA Jam screenshot. If its not there, it is WRONG.

So for all of those photoshopping new uni's designs (Like B, good job BTW), you might want to adjust your jersey to these settings to get the CORRECT idea of just how the uni's will look.

tigereye- You are correct, but... NBA Jam isn't a game built on graphic accuracy. That's for games like NBA Live or 2K4. The game probably has a standard jersey template that it puts the basic look of teams' jerseys on. That is obvious if you look at the lettering of the Rockets name on the jersey in the Jam picture. It is very plain. Also, it isn't definitive that the ellipses on the jersey fade into one(on the Jam picture). The graphic is at an angle where the ellipses could overlap so to speak and give the impression that they become one. Anyhow, we basically know what the jersey will look like, and the Rockets organization most definitely knows, so why isn't the jersey out yet?

I know that, I work on CAD all the time. But whoever did those graphics should be fired. The didn’t even come close on Yao himself, much less the jersey.

And if you carefully look at the rendering, you will see that the elliptical rings DO combine in to one stripe on both shoulders. If they were to have the correct jersey sizing on there, with correct shoulder length and all, there would have been more then enough room to put both elliptical rings on there. Bottom line is, this was a cheap job done and its painfully obvious to everyone they got it WRONG.

And as for why the Rockets uniforms havent been unveiled yet, I believe they are saving that for an unveiling to be scheduled sometime between Sept 4th (Toyota Center ribbon cutting ceremony) and Sept 14th (TC open house) to help create a "buzz" around town in an effort to get attention on the team to drive up ticket and suite sales. Remember, in September, it is going to be hard for the Rockets to catch the fans attention in Houston. You have the Astros in a playoff hunt and the Texans kicking off the season in football happy Texas. From a marketing standpoint, it is wise to put a spotlight on the team around this time because of the "novelty effect" the new arena will have will catch people's attention and create a "buzz" for itself. And you HAVE to capitalize on opportunities like this to be successful in this business. Unveiling the new uniforms (and assuming they are a smashing success, which I believe they will be) should only "fan the fire."

So be patient, Tim and the rest of the staff know what they are doing. All I can say is that it is shaping up to be a pretty exciting time in early September for Rockets fans. I can't wait to see the reaction.

    :)
