nice comeback. it seems that everyone on mtv cribs likes scarface. hmmm.... "petistol"... "say hello to my little friend". rambling... sorry.
Shanghai boy just found a good way to bypass the censors here, put the cuss words in a jpg.... clever.... And just to let you know dude, I think the rest of the world caught on to the whole scarface craze a while back. I wish all film reviews were that short.
"DIE!!!!! I take you all to Hell! You F**kin with me you F**kin with the Best!!" Between Scarface and Wall Street, Oliver Stone is IMHO hands down the best screenplay writer of all-time.
One of my closest friends just bought the poster to hang in his apartment. I can't stop making fun of him for emulating hip hop artists on "Cribs." I'm expecting to see 22"s on his Accord next.
Neither have I. Pacino will always be Michael Corleone to me. I worship that movie so much that I can't get past it.
Rumors were going around that there was a heavy push to do a re-release of Scarface with an alternate soundtrack that replaced the 80's synth with hip-hop/rap. De Palma probably wasn't too hot on the idea. Instead, the upcoming re-release of the DVD is going to have a documentary about Scarface's influence on hip-hop culture.
I dunno. It's ok. Not genius. Not exactly subtle. Operates with a bludgeon. I'd like a little more wit in my movies. Raging Bull, on the other hand, is genius. The head in the car door scene is amazing.
