Chinese lady swallowed by escalator

All these reports that the mother was such a heroic figure.

I was on reddit and there are people from China posting that the mother was given warnings not to go on the escalator, but she ignored them. That's why there are 3 workers at the top of the escalator...and that's why the father can be seen at the bottom of the escalator, because he chose to listen to them and not get on.

If this is the case, then shame on the mother for putting her life and her son's life at risk.

My first reaction: oh he looks like it didn't hurt him.

Later in the video: oh, he's dead and was convulsing due to a broken spine or some ****.

 

Yeah. There were three people at the top of the escalator ready to assist. Kind of odd. And why did they not stop the escalator when she got on.

Why post this

 

I remember when I was very small my shoe lace got caught in a moving escalator and my Mom summoned her mom strength and pulled me out of the jaws of death. Broke the escalator and everything. I got a free pair of Black Jordan 5's from the mall for almost killing myself because I was too lazy to tie my shoes.

 

Y'all really need to cut this **** out.

If I type the word "****", it gets censored automatically because this is a family site or whatever.

Meanwhile, y'all are posting videos of actual human beings dying with no warning whatsoever beforehand.

 

Yes, the video was disturbing- but there was a clear warning at the beginning of it.

 

"Images may cause discomfort"?

That's the kind of thing you put in front of a skateboarding video where someone breaks their leg.

It's as easy as, "Hey guys, just a heads up, this is a video of someone being killed."

 

The video is honestly already spoiled. You seem him crushed in the still.

I used to be able to watch shocking and gory videos with people dying and crazy stuff like this. I'm ok with saying that now that I'm older, I don't have the inclination to watch it anymore.

I don't know what happened in that escalator situation. If the reddit comments are true, then serious shame shame shame on that mother. No one deserves to go like that of course, but still, I hope she wasn't dumb and arrogant.

And in any case... China? Come on. If something is broken, don't give people the opportunity to hurt themselves. Shut that thing down.

 

I have seen quite a few women have trouble with escalators.
