easily the original Final Fantasy when it came out on NES. After I beat it, my monitor stayed on for days, so I could prove to my friends who didn't believe me. we were barely 10. I haven't been much of a huge gamer since. (never made it past Super Nintendo and a GameBoy Advance SP, never owned a SEGA or SONY console) I also enjoyed Metal Gear Solid for Playstation in the late 90's but my friends and I never beat it.
I have such fond memories of playing this. I was way too young to be shown this game, but i loved it.
My first video game ever was Pong on Atari. But my first favorite game that I could spend the whole day playing was Mario Bros on Nintendo. But now I'm stuck between street fighter and Mario Kart as the best childhood video game of all times. ALL TIMES.
Was already in HS, but Wing Commander was the game that made me run out and buy a sound card and 384KB of extended memory.
Forgot to add this too. <iframe width="480" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/F9ohCKS_LUM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
X-men vs Street Fighter. I remember being at the arcade after school and many tImes would save my lunch money just to play. Spend so many wasted hours playing that game.
