Tops are Patti Smith, Joni Mitchell, Chrissy Hynde, Debbie Harry, Janis Joplin.

I saw Lucinda Williams open for Neil Young the other night and she was great. Also Ani Difranco, Bongwater, Suzanne Vega, Michelle Shocked, The Waifs (Aussies opened for Dylan on last tour and were great).

Awesome local girl rockers: Carolyn Wonderland, Diane Koistenen (ex-Houston, ex-de Schmog), both girls from Sexy Finger Champs (bass player is hottest rock chick EVER), Bliss Blood (now in NYC), Rebecca from Sincola (I miss that band), Jen Neira (ex-de Schmog, Texas Guinness Lovers, current-meowcifer), Christa Forster (ex-Shag), Cathy Power (Slump), AJ Ware (Blessitron 4000), Marianthe Perce (Les Saucy Pants) and, of course, Sybil Chance (Rusted Shut).

Great call-- what ever happened to those girls, are they still around?

Isn't the lead singer of Yaz the same guy from Erazure?

I need to check out Evanesence everyone seems high on them.

I don't know if they are still together. Their popularity sort of peaked in the early 90's, and I think they had some more releases but I've sort of lost track of them. I always liked their attitude though, kinda surly and pissed off chicks.

Experimental Aircraft - Austin band- indie space rock at its finest.

FYI- L7 as they put it are on indefinite hiatus.
