I've enjoyed it more than I expected to be honest with you. Next weeks episode looks like it'll have crap hitting the wall.

Season 1 so far of this shows blows the F out of entourages first season. I don't understand how some people can hate on this show. So entertaining and it's only getting better each episode.
I know this is from the people that made Entourage, but I think it is more accurate to compare Ballers to ESPN's Playmakers. I agree it is getting better, but Playmakers, for me, was still more enjoyable.
Yes Ballers has been disappointing compared to Playmakers. Playmakers was on ESPN (censored) with probably a smaller budget and was more intriguing in one season than Ballers has been in 4 eps. I'll keep watching though.
I love the Rock. He has enough charisma to keep me entertained; otherwise, the show is boring, predictable, and annoying. I don't know how much more I can take before I quit watching it.
The show needs more DirTy WHøRêS!!!! That one girl that plays rock's gf used to be a bartender at the Dallas tmc in 2010.
Can't believe so many on this thread actually think the show is a good or quality show. I guess to each... but to me the show is basically as other have mentioned, a sports version of Entourage in terms of the flashy stuff. The writing is weak imo, the acting is mediocre at best and the storylines are equally weak. Obviously it's still early days, 4 eps in but to me it's basically something to fill in TV time on Sunday night. The last 2 episodes were as pointless as TV episodes could be. (Entourage did have their fair share of ridiculously pointless episodes). The one thing the show has going for it is still the use of NFL team logo's and names. I finally got around to watching Survivor's Remorse and I won't say that it's a brilliant and great show but the acting and storylines are better than what Ballers has shown so far in 4 episodes.
Not every show needs to be deep with thought or have the best plot lines ever. Ballers is entertaining enough for the 30 minutes. The story is interesting enough, some of the characters are fun, and yeah, its the NFL.
Anyone watch the commentary on Go? Lol the writer is one of the whitest dudes ever telling us about how shiet goes down in the league. Right buddy. Good ep. Squash beef at the strip club. Extortion. Charles Greene growing a sack. I think Uncle Frank is involved in a gang - Ricky now owes them a favor. Favorite line: I need weed for the pain. You're not injured. I got emotional pain.
