Did anyone see this last night? I missed it, but see it's coming on again next week(16th @ 9pm). I hear that guys leg looked pretty sick.
It was pretty good, I don't know why those shark guys do it? It is the equivelant of a guy standing in a group of grizzly bears or wild tigers and saying as long as they don't see us as a threat we're in no danger. Sharks are an apex predator if you wanna swim with them it's a risk you are taking. They also showed footage of the girl that had her leg taken off by a great white.
Just to chime in w/ my story. About 8 years ago in Florida, during a red tide episode, I was trying to fish, since a lot of fish were forced closer to land. Anyway, I caught a black tip, and as I was letting it go, it caught a chunk of my right thigh about six inches away from my groin area. My friend said I looked like Bruce Lee with his glowing punch and Jesus walking on water as I punched off that shark and ran out of the water. I still have a nasty scar today. I was too young and umb to know I had to go to the hospital.
they showed two incidents....the Dr guy that lost most of his calf on his leg(it looked nasty) and a girl that lost her leg to a great white. I learned something I didnt know...a tiger shark has a cleaner bite and is more likely to take an apendage off with one bite than any other shark. God I love Shark Week!
My friend was telling me about it, was talking about how they showed one guys leg it was all tore up and u could see the skin hanging on his leg, said took the guys calf muscle
They were interviewing the guy that was with the guy that got his leg chomped on. It was the morning buzz or something on 94.5 so nothing serious, but the guy couldn't stop talking about what a great opportunity this was to actually film a shark attacking a human. (never been done.) It was kinda weird. "opportunity"
Where's the pic of that guy who got chomped in the stomach and his intestines were hanging out? That was pretty gruesome.
I watched it last night, amazingly enough the shark that bit the guy was meaning to grab his leg and pull him into the deep end and eat him up there, however because the guy manage to lift his leg up the shark double bit deeper into his calf muscle chewing it off. Needless to say I will stick to bodies of water with concrete around them that have chlorine or rivers.
I'd love to see this in real life or on video, a great white jumping out of the water. Seals don't stand a chance.
Oski that was on anatomy of a shark bite last night, great white jumping out of the water.... If it comes on again I would watch it!
I was almost killed by a shark when I was seven years old, and since then have had a serious terror/fascination with them. And that picture is freaking me out; is it real or animated? You guys ever seen film taken at beaches from above, like from Coast Guars helicopters? People swimming all over, and swiming among them, unseen, are sharks galore. I have issues with the ocean.
What a crazy pic...A friend of mine got bit by a shark in Florida. It was a small shark and he wasn't hurt that bad.
