Still feel good about our chances of winning the division. Astros have a bunch of avenues to improve significantly (Springer, Lowrie, trade) while the Angels are pretty much who they are. Their system is too weak to really get anything of value and their 25 man has some holes that will come back once they are off of this run.
According to mick fry, that was a bobbled routine grounder that shows Correa lacks confidence. According to Hinch, that play is representative of Correa's coolness and maturation process. Advantage - Hinch. http://m.astros.mlb.com/news/article/137171230/carlos-correa-coolly-close-out-astros-win
But guys, we need to start scoring more runssssss. I think Singleton had good at bats, except the last one. He swung at 2 high pitches, and did not swing at a fastball right in the middle of the plate for a third strike. Marisnick, i dont care if he hits .240, i want him out there in cf, he is a great defensive player. Yesterday with 1 play, he saved the game in the first inning. That play WON the game. I don't think we need another starter, i think we need another hitter, a number 3 hitter in the lineup, that way we move Correa to the second spot. The Carter experiment should be OVER. I also believe we could get a very good reliever. Meaning, a great hitter and a very good reliever. If they get a starter, perfect. Now, i think we are ahead of schedule, so i would not mind playing the year with what we have, and see what Singleton, Tucker, Santana and Correa will give us, and go from that for next year. Also, we have the starters with Straily at triple a to give Mc and VV the rest needed. Now, we need Feldman to be a 3 run guy in 6 inning, but again, we need another reliever, i like what Harris has done, but it would not surprise me to see some regression. I do like Fields, don't trust Sipp much. Thatcher has not been as good as capable, i think he will be ok in the second half. Qualls, wow, difficult one here, hopefully he comes pitching good, but please, not in close situations late, please, at least until he shows he can deliver. We won last night, but against a struggling team and a pitcher coming off injuries, and could not score many runs, well, thanks in part to the Human Windmill, but, that guy will CONTINUE to be there, so the same problems we are going to see again and again. I don't mind seeing outs at home, but by 5 feet?? noooooooooo
Hardly routine. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">That last grounder to Correa came off the bat at 110 mph, per Statcast</p>— Chandler Rome (@Chandler_Rome) <a href="https://twitter.com/Chandler_Rome/status/622246267486212096">July 18, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Lol, MarGo makes that play. Singleton bailed him out and if he didn't you would be ripping him a new a new ahole about it. He has been a little shakey as of late I think thats pretty obvious except for the homerly blind as some of you appear to be. The demoting of Correa was a joke guys cmon lighten the f up.

I will not watch this game because I can't stand watching Feldman pitch. Don't know why but he instills little confidence in me when he is on the mound.

i can't wait until Lowrie can come back..we need more consistent at bats to keep innings going, and he is perfect for that (assuming he comes back full strength)
