I'm watching the Astros game and a commercial came up that said Hakeem will be on the Fox show S.O.S on at 9 PM Tonight. Just thought you guys might want to know. By the way, it's 3-0 'Stros so far for all who care
*BUMP* and reminder to tune in right now on Fox Sports Southwest right now if your going to watch the show. I'm in the middle of watching the Cards vs Braves game, The Dennis Leary Roast, and the Hakeem interview so if I miss anything to tell, don't hold it against me
exactly what I thought, was he hanging with EG and Mo Taylor before the show to ease those interview jitters
He announced that he would once again be dropping the "H" from his name and go back to "Akeem". Very strange.
I dunno how much I missed. I think I stopped watching between commercials, but during the interview, the lady was asking him about Yao, the Kobe Bryant case, the Lakers signing Payton and Malone, and I know there's more. I didn't catch the part where he said he was changing his name back to Akeem, but then again I stopped watching between commercials. When asked about Yao, he said Yao is a very fluid player when it comes to a man of Yao's size, and that usually when someone is that big, they're not that mobile around the court, but Yao has shown he's a very crafty player. I don't really remember what he said about the Bryant situation. I do think it had something to do with all the temptations of the women in the game, and that it's part of the lifestyle, and that it's hard to resist. I may be just putting words into his mouth so don't hold me on that. When asked about the Lakers signing Payton and Malone, he said something along the lines of, he doesn't really know how well the team will handle having that many superstars on one team. Oh yeah, he was asked about Van Gundy and what he thinks of him as a coach, and he didn't give much of answer, saying he only knew about Van Gundy when he played against him when JVG coached the Knicks. All he really said was that JVG will bring discipline. I think that about covers it. He seemed very timid, quiet, and yes sleepy when on camera, but it's alright. I've grown used to his camera presence that way If the interview was carrying over after the commercial break, feel free to add anything else.
Hakeem would say the word 'focus', but with a strong accent... they're making fun of his accent by indicating that Hakeem pronounced it as 'focass' -- droxford
