Defined role shouts coaching better than McHale'sAt least he didn't sign with Dallas. Small mercies, how can we win vs. Clips now?

You don't think JSmith warrants 4.5M/yr? THAT is stupid! He was available to us on the cheap - and we blew it!

I'm all for DMo and woulda liked JSmith as #2.... who's our #2 pf now? TJones? Harrell? This makes a huge hole in our lineup...

That MLE money better be going to sign DWill or something....

Why would that change anything? DMo goes back to starting and Smith goes back to being the 2nd PF off the bench. That would have been optimal actually.

    Wow WTGDF is this ****?!

You let a team like the Clippers who suffer from no bench get an amazing bench contributor for the freakin vet min?!?!

Repeat after me WE ARE NOT BETTER THAN THE SPURS, CAVS, OR WARRIORS BY STANDING PAT AND WE JUST LOST A KEY PIECE TO A CONTENDER!!!!

Morey was fortunate last year that Brewer and Smith fell into his lap for nothing. Your offseason strategy cannot be hope Lawson is waived so you can sign him for nothing because that worked so well last year.

Had we retained JSmith, we would have been a pg away... with TJ, KPap ng, Prigs partial to dish....

    PBev/trade
    Harden/MT/NJohnson
    Ariza/Brewer/Deck
    DMo/Jsmith/Harrell
    D12/CC
I'da been happy with that 12...

I would give that distinction to Trevor Ariza.

The only irreplaceable part of his game is that he was capable of getting his own shot. Something we needed more of from a bench scorer. But we should be ok if Dekker can play. Monty will pick up some of that slack at a higher efficiency. Glad to see our FT improving as that was a serious limitation for us we could not hide.

That's league restructuring... This league is like a reality show. Look at all the crap that's been going on... West goes to Spurs for NO money. Smith to Clippers for less money and less chance to win. New York drafts Porzingis.

There's a role called the back up big that was his (Smith's) if he wanted it...not sure how that is hogwash. Houston has a few players fighting for that spot. LA's spot is wide open.

Seriously though, where is our bench going to score in the half court? They'll be good in transition, but now they have no post game and no playmakers. I guess we'll just hope for them to play defense till the starters get back out there.

I don't want to see his face. Feeling the same way I did with Artest. Meh. We will be good by the deadline.

Great move by Morey...Smith has off the court issues and dissappointed with lousy free throw shooting. Brewer is the clutch performer, not Smith. He had his shining moment against the clips, but that was it. Watch the replay, we don't win that game without Brewer. DMo is younger and the future. Time to get rid of all guys below 50% free throw percentage and move the team avg back up. If that means getting rid of Dwight, for several good players then so be it.....

I'm asking about Josh Smith and trying to get into his mind.

If you are a player and the team drafts two players at your position and you are a bench player already...you have to wonder about your future with the team.
