+1. Someone like Dellavedova would be a better fit beside Harden

No way Terence jones is out the league in 3 years no way, unless he has a major injury that doesn't allow him to play anymore. At worst he's a journeyman pf who comes in and gives teams some offensive boost. He's not great but he's not nearly as bad as you make him sound.

I'll bet my life savings T Jones is still in the league in 3 years, barring injury. Absurd claim.

No way we get Lawson now he's a cancer and can't stay out of the headlines and not in a good way. From a basketball standpoint I would love to have him but I don't want him close to harden or our locker room. I don't want a prime season of James wasted because of some knucklehead getting drunk and high all the time.

That's his problem. When coaches want him to play like that he will always settle for the jumper instead nowadays.

    LOL ok....

Dellavaedova is a hustle guy, who doesn't do much else...we already have a much better version of him on the team, he goes by the name PBev. Sure Lawson's defense isn't great, but he would bring so much else to this team, he can score and create - things this team really needs!

This is his 4th DUI, his 2nd this year, yeah it's a pattern, it's a problem, one unlikely to fix itself.

delly isn't really a good defender, just shows a lot of hustle. he's primarily a scorer but that's not as easy for him at nba level.

Because in this scenario they take on all the risk without any guarantee of reward, while giving up flexibility to gain guaranteed rewards from other moves. The entire deal would be dependent on rehabilitation of a guy who wouldn't want to be there and is ectrememly unlikely to work out in Philly. It would be unbelievably risky and likely stupid with minimal payback likely because the teams that would then be interested rarely have top picks or young assets anyway.

    No.

This is like having prime Randy Moss in football. Is a small/slow, underneath possession receiver a good fit next to him? Sure, in principle. But he's not going to help Moss or put much added pressure on the defense.

Meanwhile, a speed demon, a borderline All-Pro WR becomes available, and people argue that his speed is redundant with Moss's. That speed demon is a major talent upgrade from mediocre possession guy, and you find a way to make it work, because opposing defenses can't throw 2-3 DBs at Moss anymore.

I'm not a huge Delly fan, but that is one of the worst analogies I've ever seen. Randy Moss played with Welker, who might be the best slot receiver in NFL history and is both small and a possession receiver.

    Yeah great idea

Harden has trouble staying away from slamming the bottles and big booty strippers as is, and shows up hungover to several games. Add in the drunkard Lawson and you compound the issue ten fold.
