The Obama administration focuses their efforts on our biggest ally in helping Iraq remain a whole, complete and stable country. Yet, Pakistan, the failed state where Bin Laden was hiding all these years, has nukes.

If you have been paying attention, oil prices have dropped in anticipation of this deal being approved. It isn't as low as we have already seen and I don't think it'll get into the 40s again.

Get a V8 though. Because you can actually afford it and the gas requirements that come with it. Not bc you think you're gonna see $2.80 gas (supreme) for the next few years. That's unlikely.

No, you threw in a loaded scary scenario as a response to this deal. Doomsday scenarios are the Tea Party domain though, amirite? You guys would pee your pants in excitement if Israel attacked Iran.

You seriously think Israel will attack Iran? Jews aren't suicidal. They have the capability, but not the ability to wage war with Iran. Its the same as America cannot wage war against Russia even though we could since we'd get destroyed in the process.

Iran doesn't really have the ability to wage war on Israel either. If the Israelis bomb Iran, what would the Iranians be able to do about it? Complain to the UN? I'm thinking that's about it.

Bibi lost one of his biggest political footballs -- scaring people with talks about an Iranian nuke. It was great while it lasted. He would deflect any talk about anything with it. Slow economy? Iranian nukes! Palestinian state? Iranian nukes! A mini-coup in his own party? Iranian nukes!

Israel has a small nuclear sub fleet with enough nukes to wipe Iran off the map. It's not exactly a secret and no one credible in the security services in Israel considered it the imminent extinction event that Bibi would have the FoxNewsBots believe.

To read the Hee-Haw news websites, you'd believe Obama singlehandedly surrendered to the Ayatollah. This deal is the product of a multi-lateral effort that the sanctions were designed to end with and any president in power would have done the same. It gradually lifts sanctions if Iran complies with the deal. If Iran breaks the deal, it leaves all the military options (US and Israeli) on the table and automatically resets the sanctions.

I'm curious what the armchair diplomats here would have as a realistic alternative.

So you are for the status quo, which directly leads to Iran having a nuke? Or do you believe has everyone been lying to us this whole time that Iran is making progress on developing nuclear weapons? Do you think the sanctions have been effective in stopping them?

Flooding them with cash and making it easier for them to create a nuke isn't a better idea than keeping with the status quo and having them end up with a nuke anyway.

To prevent the Iranians from attaining nuclear strike capability, yes, I believe this is a very real possibility. Israel knows the Iranians are fanatical enough to wage nuclear blackmail -- or even war -- as soon as they have the capability. If Israel sees that card in Iranian hands, they could well play it first.

Good thing that's not what the deal does. But besides that, cash is not what Iran is lacking in its quest to develop nukes.

Except this isn't true. Iran's leaders, like virtually every other countries', want power. And getting into a war with Israel is the single quickest way to lose power given that it virtually guarantees death. ISIS is a bunch of fanatics - that's why they will never be able to govern a country. But Iran is no different than anyone else out there - they know how to push buttons and push things to the brink. But they aren't going to start a war when they know they can't win it.

This is where, IMO, your logic is flawed. You wouldn't start a nuclear war. I wouldn't either. No sane person would. The Iranian leadership is not sane.

The deal with Iran is really about Iraq.

Nukes are bull***** dick measuring sticks. You can't use one if you have it; Al-Qaeda, ISIS, rogue Pakistani intelligence...maybe.

We are going to work WITH Iran to combat chaos in Iraq. It's the only rational approach for either country. This is step one in the long game.

If you want to be happy about it, think that Iran is going to be tied up focusing all their income, arms and intelligence on people other than Israel.

Well I guess only time will tell but I predict this is an absolutely terrible deal for Israel(our only true ally in the region) and the USA. Iran basically got everything they wanted.
