Prospect can mean "an outlook," but in basketball terms, a prospect is pretty much always regarded as a young player having some amount of potential. You cannot discount someone's (correct) argument solely on the fact that English is not their first language.
Okay so now you are writing the definition of a prospect. If Deron Williams were interested in signing here he would be a pg prospect. LMA was a free agent prospect. No one is interested locking up their money on McDaniels right now as a prospect. I know you get that you just can't admit when you are wrong. Face it if someone wanted McDaniels as bad as you think they do they would have signed him already. His value is finding it's level and when it does someone will set the price. I'll bet you money that price is not full MLE. If you want to fret over something fret over if the rockets want to match him at more then half the MLE. They may not.
