CJ McCollum for Terence Jones. Salaries match. If OKC matches on Kanter, maybe Portland would want TJ.
It makes sense. I would love McCollum and have been a fan of trying to get him over here for a little while now. He's the kind of guard that would really take a lot of pressure off of Harden and could develop into an elite shooter (or close to it).
Well then you were not paying attention. Do you think Dirk did it all on his own? Who do you think added the pieces like Jason Terry, Shawn Marion, Tyson Chandler and Jason Kidd? Before that there was guys like Nick Van Exel, Eric Dampier, Josh Howard, Devon Harris, Vince Carter & Jerry Stackhouse. All of those players were added after Cuban and all of those players were key components to a lot of play-off wins. There is plenty of legitimate criticism you can throw at Cuban but to say he has been an awful owner that has done nothing right since taking over the team comes off like Chris Broussard.
I'm gonna stretch this so far it probably belongs in the trade idea thread, but... Morey said he had some very interesting moves on draft night, cyber said involving Ariza right? Many speculated that it was with the Pistons for the 8th pick, they obviously have a whole a SF and Ariza would make them a playoff team. They just signed Jackson to a big contract as well. Cod man hinted at under armor with "UNDER" and "Let it breathe", well Jennings, as others have noted is with UA. What if we're in talks for an Ariza and Jennings swap? Perhaps even something like Ariza + rights to Dekker, future first for Jennings + rights to Johnson That has nothing to do with Adelman though, perhaps there could be a separate deal for Martin involving Papanikolaou and Jones + minor assets Brother hood is strong = Smith re-signs PG: Jennings / Beverley SG: Harden / Martin SF: Brewer / Johnson PF: Motie / Smith C : Howard / Capela Huge stretch, but i'm just having a little fun with it, would be a nice deal for the Rockets.
TJ for McCollum makes so much sense for Houston. Not sure why Pirtland would do it. Kid is going to be a good NBA player. TJ always going to be soft as charmin.
Jennings makes sense on multiple levels, especially the 'traded right before'...I'm assuming the season. Morey would want to see Jennings in action after coming back from his injury.
I don't think there is a chance in hell Portland would trade him to Houston. But if they would then I would be willing to give more than TJ for him. I think the guy has some serious skills.
