If Tim Duncan is a p***y, I'd take that anyday.......That "p***y" is the league MVP, World Champ, and Arguebly the best player on the planet...........not bad for a p***y, huh;)

The issue isn't that K-Mart isn't as good as Duncan, Brand, or Garnett, nor is it an issue that K-Mart will struggle more in the West than the East.

The main issues are that K-Mart plays hard, is afraid of no one, would be better starting PF than Eddie Griffin, and would just add to the power of the Rockets lineup.

He would only help the Rockets.

Ah, the essence of a BBS.

So, you think that his addition would "hurt" the Rockets?

I'm not sayin that, just sayin, I don't think K mart is that great...............believe me Jason Kidd makes guys look like superstars.....He makes them look great

When Starbury was in Jersey.............Nobody and I mean nobody knew this guy still existed

Decent D and shotblockin, horrible offensively for a pivot man, horrible footwork, you name it

Wait until he gets to the Western Conference, you'll see what I'm sayin..........he'll become Theo Ratliff west, if that

Stephon and Kenyon only played together one season and that was his rookie year and he was just getting healthy from a broken leg.

How about this 3 team trade?

Houston gets Kenyon Martin, Kerry Kittles & Dan Dickau
New Jersey gets Cuttino Mobley & Shareef Abdur Rahim
Atlanta gets Glen Rice, Bostjan Nachbar & Rodney Rogers & Rockets 1st rounder

    Rockets
    F: Kenyon Martin/Adrian Griffin
    F: Eddie Griffin/Maurice Taylor
    C: Yao Ming/Kelvin Cato
    G: Steve Francis/Dan Dickau/Moochie Norris
    G: Kerry Kittles/Eric Piatkowski/Juaquin Hawkins

    Nets
    F: Richard Jefferson/Zoran Planinic/Tamar Slay
    F: Shareef Abdur Rahim/Aaron Williams
    C: Alonzo Mourning/Jason Collins/Dikembe Mutombo
    G: Jason Kidd/Brandon Armstrong
    G: Cuttino Mobley/Luscious Harris

    Hawks
    F: Glen Rice/Boki Nachbar/Chris Crawford
    F: Rodney Rogers/Alan Henderson
    C: Theo Ratliff/Nazi Mohammed
    G: Jason Terry/Jermaine Jackson
    G: Boris Diaw-Riffiod/Dion Glover/Travis Hansen

yeah I know KMart isn't a natural SF but he I think he can defend most of the SF's in the league.

    You actually proposed a trade.....wow.

    I like it too.

For us.....Kenyon can play PF and Griffin can play SF. Kittles is a good shooter. We get Dickau too.

For New Jersey...they benefit the most because they don't have to pay the max to Martin and get an even better power forward though old in SAR and they get Mobley.....a definite upgrade over Kittles.
For Atlanta....they give up SAR and Dickau for Rice and his expiring contract, an athletic small forward in Boki, Rodney Rodgers and a 1st round pick. NOW WHY would they do that? Have they said they are trying to trade SAR? I guess they are rebuilding and can suck for a year and maybe try to get the #1 pick.

Martin is a good player but I don't like his attitude at all. I wouldn't give him the max.

    Gater -

Good point about the 3-pt %. Ofcourse, it could be argued that K-Mart didn't NEED to be double teamed, and that allowed the Spurs to go out and close down the perimeter.

However you look at it, it should be clear that Martin is not a MAX player. However, the question is, does he fit the team well enough, and would he be indispenseable enough THROUGH those qualities so that we'd be qilling to offer him a MAX contract?

You know, I was thinking I'd actually make this trade JUST to see hwo AMAZING Eddie Griffin would look playing with Jason Kidd. But nevermind.

I don't think he's worth the MAX, and if he's going to play for anything less, it's going to be in New Jersey.

I love outlaw's trade. I think it works out great for everyone. However, I'm not willing to give K-Mart the MAX personally.

Sorry, but the Kidd/Marbury issue has been debated...

Yes, Jason make his teammates better. But so does Marbury (Kidd was in Phoenix during the losing years too! You need teams to win).

As far as your "nobody knew this guy still existed" comment...well, you do know that K-Mart broke his leg TWICE (Senior college year and 1st year of NBA)?!

Hmmm, could it be that "Nobody knew this guy existed" had to do with rehab time? Do you think that breaking your femur bone is easy to rehab from?

True, "K-Mart is not great," but he's no slouch.

He will be almost as good as Brand. But not as good as Garnet. You watch! He will be a 18/8-10 guy. This only his 3 year.

If Matt Harpring can get 17/6, then K-Mart can get 18/8-10.

Martin = Kenny Thomas with "street cred" , i.e. he's a punk. He's great at clotheslining guys from behind when they go into the lane though.

I think Brand has only been in the league ONE more season than K-Mart, and his rookie numbers are better than all of K-Mart's numbers.

Brand is easily a 22/12/3 guy. I don't see how it's the same. K-Mart will never eclipse 20 points on a team without Jason Kidd, and hasn't even done it WITH Jason Kidd.

I honestly can't see how you can compare the 2. Marting is great, but he's no Elton Brand.

Like I said, K-Mart was injured twice (rookie). Watch next year.

Brand is a 22/12/3 guy? Please check his stats (18.5/10).

Anyways, I said that K-Mart will be almost as good as Brand.

Both of them were 1st overall picks. But Brand is better. I understand that. But K-Mart is going to close that gap.

K-Mart has played in 2 NBA Championships (experience)

Elton Brand hasn't even been to the playoffs.

Not trying to say Martin is better, but to say he is much worse is ridiculous. Plus I don't think the Rockets need another 20 pt. a game player. Houston needs a defensive minded enforcer who plays with heart. Granted Martin might have played a little dirty, but he seemed to have cleaned up his act. Instead of playing like a hard-ass, he just played hard.

Martin would improve the Rockets no doubt, contract issues and who the Rockets would have to give up to get him is another story.

I`d rather have Cynthia Cooper. I am tired of all these over priced over paid crybabies. How bad a$$ can he be if he is on a championship caliber team (that has improved) if he is going to pout and throw a hissy fit cause he is only making 10 million dollars a year. for ANYONE WHJO IS INTERESTED HERE IS THE ARTICLE ABOUT THE TRADE : New Jersey and Portland - K-Cry Baby and Cry baby Wallace http://www.sportsnetwork.com/default.asp?c=sportsnetwork&page=nba/news/acn2732205.htm
I just cant believe how someone that is not even worth 7 mil a year would throw a fit because 10 mil is not enough. I wouldn`t` want him for anybody not even moochie. ( mabey for 7 mil a year I would give them Mooch Mooch). I just cant believe it . They say he cost his team the championship by going 5-31. He is now my least favorite player now. ( Like I am sure he cares) The NBA should blackball guys like thay> mabey after digging a few ditches he would be more of a man.
