Yeah, Dwight has those moments too man. Can't have a roster full of superstars.

Ya, but Dorsey touching the ball on the offensive end is always a very risky proposition even if he is wide open under the hoop. Dwight is at least a sure thing enough that people don't cringe when he gets the ball in the same spot.

Dorsey usually blocks himself on the rim when trying to go for a big jam

Don't know how they'd have the cap space, but Stein says the Clippers are trying to get Smoove.

Doesn't sound like Smoove is gonna be back. I hope that's not the case.

For a guy who acts like his knowledge, or lack thereof, is the end all and be all of basketball, the fact that you can say Aldrich, who was on the Rockets at one point btw, is a good player is mind boggingly dumb. Have you actually seen him play? He cant defend, he cant score, he can rebound if the ball falls directly into his hands and thats about it. Remember when there were articles saying how he was the perfect center for the triangle, well he got exposed real quick as only being a guy who is 7ft who can move up the court without tripping over his own feet and thats about it. Dorsey is actually similar to him except he can rebound but is undersized. Neither are guys who should be playing every game or more than a few minutes at a time on a good team.

To the former, I suggest the recounting is more apocryphal than factual. And as an aside, I had long thought DM the GM had been interested in D-Will.

To the latter, waived? Nah, no way. ZeroZipZilch. Nada. But, stretched? Someone else can do the accounting more accurately but it seems the Nyets would save more on tax bills than they'd actually be paying the guy!

bad news bbhollic. It looks like boban may have a deal with the spurs. I expected they would find a euro center.

    Dorsey is trash.

Aldrich isn't trash as a back up big. He has improved. He isn't an elite back up 5, but he is an upgrade for the Clippers and a good get for an organization with limited financial means to improve. For as big a bumbler Doc can be, he has done a good job adding pieces this off season.

As for the Rockets, ideally they acquire a starting 4 so DMO and Capella can get all the back up 4/5 minutes and there is no need for Aldrich.

I agree with bballholic on this one Cole Aldrich showed in spurts with the Knicks that he can be solid when given minutes, he had several double doubles. He can be that big body the Clips need to back up DJ. He is a big upgrade to just putting Big Baby out there.

    Aldrich>Dorsey

Yep. Third one on my list gone today.

Boban/West the backup big combo for the Spurs. That's just sick, sick, sick. He's gonna play phenomenally well for them. My goodness. Just sick. We really needed his size on this roster. Just sick.

Spurs are ... lordy...they're just a great organization. Can't give them enough credit. If we can't win it (and we can't without a serious upgrade) then I'll be rooting for them after we go down.

Ideally they keep Smith so DMo can get all the starting 4 minutes while having a competent backup. It would also leave the Rockets in position to not need Aldrich.

Yes. I don't know how well he will actually play but I wanted him too for the Bucks. We actually brought him over a couple of years ago for a workout and before we signed Monroe we were in talks with his agent in Europe. He is definitely one of the best from Europe they could get atm.

Just shows that R.C. blows Morey out the water. R.C. goes about his business quietly and efficiently while Morey runs his business through twitter self promotion and patting himself on the back instead of going out there and making meaningful signings to improve this roster. Where is my PG?

Joey freaking Dorsey? Give me a break

You do know that West is absolutely terrible defensively and Boban Marjanovic has yet to step foot on an NBA court....how is that a "sick" backup combo? Give me Smith/Capela over that any day.

So we're just disregarding the fact that the Spurs have had the benefit of having 3 supremely healthy players all enter their primes at the same time?? It's really easy to build a team around a guy with the temperament of Tim Duncan. I'm not denying that Buford is a hell of a GM, but why does everything have to be so black or white with you?? Just because Buford is a great GM doesn't mean Morey isn't.

The Morey hate from done you all is ridiculous. The Spurs could sign a chair and you guys would lose your minds as to why Morey hasnt done anything.
