We just completed one of our best seasons as a franchise yet so many of us here keep posting like we need anti-depressants . This team is in a very good place. We are signing our own free agents and not over spending like most teams are doing right now. Morey Will make a move or two that will help this team in the long run. Just stay the course and be patient

Dwill is asking to be released with plans on joining the Mavs not a contender. Should Morey kick the tires yes but I dont think he would come here on the cheap. Plus the guy just cant stay on the court always has nagging injuries.

D-Will is done. He was done 6 yrs ago. He wasnt worth his contract then and he isnt worth a contract now. Its over. Theres no tires left to be kicked. Let him jump on the tire fire that is the 2015-16 dallas mavericks taking the court next season.

The guys saying that Dwill is a TOTAL WASH havent watched basketball or havent paid enough attention to it last year. Dwill still has some gas left, and might better than any point guard we currently employ. I believe is he is put in a good situation as a back up, or even a starter we would thrive, pending any injuries ofcourse. Having said that, wont hurt if Dmorey picks up that phone and calls Dwill the moment he out of Brooklyn and offers him a stint and a vet min close to home.

I would offer him a bag of potato chips. DWill has nothing left in the tank.

The plan for creating cap space for KD seems fairly obvious to me: Trade TJones, Ariza, and Brewer. Those should all be easy trades to pull off, and it reinforces why keeping KJ is important. With Ariza and Brewer gone, we would need cheap, quality wing depth behind Durant...McDaniels and Dekker give us that.

It also suggests that the rockets arent interested in bringing in a high dollar PG on a multiyear deal. Look more at expirings or free agents that we can get on the cheap ($3 million or less per).

With DWill going to Dallas, it looks like we won't get Jack.

Yep but they will bring in a $8mill SF/SG after already having one on the roster, & drafting one.

I was about to come in here and say that D-Will still had something in the tank, but then I looked at his numbers. The guy shot 38.7% from the floor and posted a 50.4% TS% and a .083 WS/48. His AST% and AST/TO ratio are still pretty solid, but that is a huge dropoff from even the mediocre Williams we've seen with the Nets in previous seasons.

So, yeah, he may be done. And you could maybe chalk up some of that to him playing somewhere where he's unhappy, but I can't image a change of scenery is going to make him an All-Star level point guard at this point in his career. At best, maybe he'd be an average to slightly above average point guard in Houston or Dallas.

Dwight should take a cut, so we can give the Max to KD and possibly retain Ariza too.

I'll preface this by saying I don't know much about the Salary Cap, but IF things stay as they currently are or any additional contracts we pick up are expiring, I think we would only need to move 1 of Ariza/Brew. Currently sitting at $10 MM for 2016, can renounce Pap & TJ for an additional $9, move Ariza to get to Durant's max. I think...

But agree re: PG. I find it unlikely we trade for any player that has guaranteed $$ past next year unless Morey thinks they are the difference maker, e.g. Lawson. That would make the process more complicated and you'd probably have to move 2 of, if not all 3 Ariza, Brewer, Bev for mad space.

    Please correct where wrong.

We revived Josh Smith, so I believe we could revive D-Will as well if he wants to come here instead. If he just doesn't care anymore, he can go to Dallas and not a damn.
