He's not a great player right now, but he belongs in the NBA whereas most late 2nd round picks do not. Plus, he's got upside and Pop as his coach. Who knows what could happen.

I can tell your what will happen.

There is a small chance he will be a successful player. If he shows even the slightest sign that he offers a hint of VORPiness, accolades will flow endlessly towards Operating Thetan Level III Pops Miscavige and L.Ron C Buford.

The worshippers of the cult of Spursentology will rejoice, and point to his success as a product of their superior auditing technique.

If he doesn't amount to anything, none of them will notice, because cognitive bias doesn't work that way.

Got to believe Morey has a plan to find that second pg and it doesn't involve borderline upgrades. Personally I'd rather have Prig than him and I would be disappointed if we ended up with Prig.

Sam, you really should stay away from Spurs threads a bit. Your bias and hate for their organization is incredibly high and you seem to bash everything they do and everyone that has sympathy for them. Doesn't really add to the threads or to healthy discussion. You also achieve nothing by constantly hating on everything regarding Spurs, it's a waste of time.

Spurs just agreed to sign Boban Marjanovic, a 27 years old, 7'4" 293 lbs center from Serbia (Red Star Belgrade).

He's the reigning Euroleague first team player at the C spot, won multiple Serbian super league MVP titles.

If you want to make comparison, i say he is perhaps a poor man version of Yao Ming (quite polished offensively with nice outside jumper & FT shooting touch + dominant rebounder, slow defensively with stamina problem).

Spurs are probably bringing Miller as the 3rd PG. They don't need McCallum on the bench. :p

When you're as good as the Spurs no one cares when you just toss 2nd round picks away.

I'm not why, but I read it as "Spurs pick up McCollum," and I assumed he was of the Blazers.

Fainted, but now I'm ok. lol.
