That "source" is doing what any parent would do as Chandler's mother is just being very complimentary of her son.

 

That's cool of them and all but I can't imagine what last season would look like if we had Kyle Lowry...

 

Because unlike this situation, LMA is going to a better team with a better prospect of winning.

So is it safe to say that all of the "League will punish the Clippers! This is unprecedented! This will destroy free agency! Everything will change!" people are ready to back down now that there multiple articles and tweets explaining how this has happened before and is perfectly legal?

 

I really was just arguing that chandler did at least play some part in convincing Dwight. To say he gets no credit whatsoever is just silly. I am not really saying he is the sole reason, but come on.

But who was the source? It could have been anyone. It could have been Dan Fegan, could have been Morey, could have been ball boy #3, could have been Mrs. Parsons....

FWIW I was told by someone that works in the front office (no not anyone that makes decisions) that BEFORE Bosh accepted the Heat offer that he has verbally agreed to sign with the Rockets. The Heat had said they would not up the offer and the Rockets acted based on what Bosh's agent said.

Then the Heat upped their offer when Bosh called their bluff and the rest was history.... also was told that Morey was absolutely crushed.

 

Exactly. I don't like how he threw Houston and his teammates under the bus with his comments after he left, but the man did help to recruit Dwight even if that wasnt Dwight's decisive factor to come to Houston. I dislike Parsons as much as the next guy for how he handled the situation, but I appreciate what he at least did here as a player.

You are applying a "catch-all" rule that the league can intervene when someone violates the spirit of the CBA, by finding a technical loop-hole. That is written into the CBA, as well.

But you are misinterpreting that and making your own judgement call about when the league can step in. They cannot step in on this. There are no contracts and the CBA clearly states that there are no verbal or written agreements are allowed during the Moratorium.

It cannot be more cut-n-dry.
