Wow, is there any reason why the Sophomore team isn't going to COMPLETELY OBLITERATE the Rookies? This is going to be nasty...

I have to say, I too was suprised that Francis was not on the team, but you have to think he may be the first alternate, given that D.C. is his hometown. Malone said he doesn't want to play. Kidd is questionable w/ his own situations, and any of these guys could have an injury.

Also, keep this in mind. Stephon M. is just making his first team, and he's been putting up stellar numbers for a while now.

Francis did deserve to be in there, big time, but I don't think that anybody will trip much over it even when they realize they made a mistake because that game (along with the rookie game) will be so one-sided it won't matter. But I really wish he would just pass up on that rookie game and win the damn dunk contest, now that would be something tight!!

Guys Francis doesn't have that much to complain about. Yeah he is leading a team, but it is only a .500 team. If that's the case then there are at least 11 other teams in the West who has a better record tha us who all have a leader.
The All-Star game is about reputations (who the fans want to see in the voting as the starters)and about who the coaches vote for. The coaches vote for the folks who are not neccesarily having the best year but have had the best careers (the ones they have saw the most).
Stevie will be fine, but for him to be a bona-fide all-star he must make another step and not only improve his game, but make the team even better. Yeag .500 is an improvment over 35-47 but it is still out of the playoffs as of now. Stevie needs to fire us up in the 2nd half and take us to the playoffs or get us off to a better start next year.

I feel you guys pain. Did JW make it over Francis?

Thats like the only legit 20 and 10 power forward in the East losing out to Mason...

Brand predicts a 25 point win for his squad in the Rookie game. Steve won't be selfish and try to win the MVP for himself this time around, will he? [IMG]

I like Brand, but the Bulls are 6-37. That is why I think Marbury shouldn't be on the team as well.

I agree with 4 chuckie. I have no problem with Finley making it in, he's had alot of great years. Now, his team is winning, and I think he deserves to be there. the coaches rewarded experience, not youth, and that isn't so bad.
