I guess Davis West wasn't bluffing. Quality depth behind that top notch starting lineup. All the Spurs need is to bring back Patty or get another quality backup PG who can pass for an average starter. The Spurs are the favorites IMO.

and a legit PF. unless the western conference has the injury bug it had last year this is gonnabe a much tougher year.
Sorry I don't buy this assertion that this is a grand sacrifice. This is idiotic. He could have played out his contract and chased a ring for the minimum next season. He could have been traded to a contender maybe. He could have agreed a buyout. Something is seriously up. Giving up $11m just like that is unprecedented and in this case stupid both from a career and financial perspective.
