I don't know if I'm happy or sad James is gone... all I know is it saved me a pretty painful decision if he had fallen to me... which, from SSG's response seems like he wouldn't have anyway. :D

So Doc, give me the details of your surgery. What did they find?

Well, we kind of already knew what they'd find after the MRI. I had a really badly herniated disc (L5-S1) that had slammed directly on my sciatic nerve. That was causing my left leg to feel like it was set on fire and being beaten with a baseball bat at the same time. The last few days at the Summer Leagues was murder because of that. Then I felt my left leg starting to weaken... the doc had said that would be a warning sign to possibly have an operation, so I said "let's do it" at that point. After the surgery he said "I don't know how in the hell you walked around on that for almost 2 months. Your nerve is supposed to be grey in color, but it was purple because it was so irritated". Right now, I can walk around slowly...just waiting for the tightness in the back to relieve itself. The worst part is my throat is kinda itchy/raspy because of the breathing tube they stuck down there for the surgery, so I'm coughing a lot which hurts the ol' back like hell.

The good news is that the pain in the leg is gone, though... :)

Yeah, I read his mind, and the minds of all the owners who picked before him, when I made out the schedule before we started drafting. Want some stock tips next?

Doc, I got the same reaction from my doctor: "Why did you wait so long?" The big thing for me was not that the nerve was purple, but that it was beginning to tear away from the spinal cord. The tear was thru the outer sheathing and that was causing me a sharp, acute pain in my back in addition to the pain and numbness of my leg and hip.

It's been over a year now, with no problems. Best thing I could have done.

If I was any more relaxed, I'd be asleep.

    Damn, my job is boring.

I don't know where we're drafting. Did we make it official?

Anyways, Charlie Garner, RB : Oakland Raiders

    Kind of been both places.

If we reach a point where auto pick it necessary, we'll go to it, but for now, be sure to officially post your pick here. You can draft there too, or if Smeg or I see some picks not on the draft, we'll enter it.

Manning AND Moss? You've got to be kidding me. Some VERY questionable first round picks IMHO.

    Nice picks fade:)

In the year when wideouts are made more valuable. Go figure.
