Iv been saying this for a while the ball is not going to magically come out of hardens hands no matter who the pg is. He's too productive with the ball why take it out for a lesser outcome. What harden wants is a guy who can get buckets when he swings the ball to the other side of the court be it himself or playmaking for an easy score for someone else. The notion that the rockets and harden don't want the ball to be in his hands is just false.
You can't ask young guys like Lawson, Jennings, etc. to come off the bench, especially if you trade for them. If we get a talent like Lawson or Lowry, etc. they will start, no disputes about it. Beverley only starts if no upgrade is made. Honestly, this may be the only route we have. Find a very serviceable back up and hope a point guard rotation of Bev and whoever is enough. Beverley must get back to his game though. He struggled last year, on both ends of the court. If his shot was not falling, he was a zero on offense and his defense was overrated. There were times we had to put Ariza or Brewer on point guards Bev had no problem guarding the year before.
Sauces on CoJo's deal... <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Sources: Cory Joseph and the Toronto Raptors have agreed to a 4-year year deal worth $30 million</p>— Chris Broussard (@Chris_Broussard) <a href="https://twitter.com/Chris_Broussard/status/617894361746014208">July 6, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Nice deal for Joseph. Plus, Toronto is home for him. Also, Beverley's deal looks really good in light of this offseason.
thats considered low pay after the next cap increase. Teams are locking in players now with these figures
Makes every contract on the team look like a steal lol. In arizas last year of his contract, he'll be making less than CoJo.
4/30 for joseph is not a good deal with this market. I think he's canadian so maybe that's why they overpaid. You don't pay so much for a third stringer.
i hope after this everyone understands that kj will get multiple full mle offers at least. Doesn't matter if he's worth it or not, doesn't matter if we should match or not. He's getting them.
Bev (and Brewer) (and Ariza) is a trade chip. Somebody has to go for us to have space to sign Durant (or another max free agent) next summer.
I would be stunned too since it's against the cba. Maybe denver who doesn't know the cap will try it.
