SA doesn't have the cap space. Their options are to renounce him, trade him, or unload other pieces to keep him.
I dont think going over the cap will be a problem for them when they are trying to win this upcoming year. I think theyre more likely to renounce him than to trade him to a SW division rival, but im guessing.
Jeremy Lin would be stupid to take calls from Morey lol. What is he gonna say to Lin? Sorry about letting you go twice Lin. Lol
Harden wants a PG, another ballhandler, not a shooting guard in a PG's body. So not Lou Williams, it that should not be named,..
If clutchfans is quoting harden then they should take it literally; "help at guard" may mean just that. Harden does not specify PG or say ball handler . For all we know he was talking about a competent backup to take some of the minutes load off him . So in that light resigning brewer or KJ might satisfy James. The thing clutchfans does not have is information . What if nick Johnson is hitting 60% of his threes in practice this summer ? Does that make our perceived need at PG irrelevant? The same question could be asked about KJ . The best thing about how this roster is constructed is that there is a lot of young talent on it and not all that talent has come to bear fruit yet . Is it really that out of the question that one / a few of KJ, NJ , PAPA , Capela , Dekker, or Montrezl could provide signifacant minutes this year ? Either in filling in for an injured player or progressing to the point that they make the rotation .
It is obvious that a PG is going to be acquired through trade. No way DM lets the offseason go by without using Pap/Prigs non-guaranteeds to go try and fetch a rotation player for next year. The PG options out on the market are not worth using the MLE on when we can match on McDaniels instead.
That's a funny thing to say about an all-star that always spends the first half of the game focused on getting the rest of the team involved.
