I'm very happy to see teams like Bucks, Spurs and Grizzlies (they kept Gasol non the less) to get top FA's, over teams like LA and NY. You could argue that, that happened because the top dogs sucked and players purely wanted to win, which is true, but you might also consider that now with increasing salary (pretty much next year, but everyone knows that) and bunch of money in the market players select what's best for them. This also shows that all this dumb talk of small market, bad weather and etc is just crap, if you build a team that can entice players they will deffo go there over something like empty Hollywood.

I don't think the talk of small markets / bad weather / other disparaging factors is irrelevant, though. It's just, LA and NY (and BKN, really) have terrible futures (LA until Kobe retires).

The main goal for a superstar, and any NBA player really, is to win championships. You know these guys will earn a ton of cash, and can afford to live anywhere, so the ring is the thing.

Once those big market teams adjust there roster for the new salary cap it will be back to business as usual-- like it has been in the past (as far as big name landings)

    but I agree--
