Man! SA and GSW are a couple of steps above now. Hopefully we gel even more. If we can somehow pry Ryan Anderson and Kyle Lowry I think we could play ball at that point.

While I miss cyberx's posts, the whole LA crowd is in total confusion as to why no one wants to play in LA. They just don't understand why the line up of stars is not beating at the door anymore.

Not necessarily. Morey was looking to add a star, no matter the position. Asik was our 2nd best player the season before we got Dwight. Same logic here.

    QFT.....

I love Dmo and Bev. So glad they're still on the team and hope to keep them long term, but dmo's ceiling is a 2nd tier starter in the league and if he can be that Id be thrilled. Bev is a decent fit with Harden but he's not a starter in this league. We absolutely need an upgrade at PG and Bev has to know that's the rockets goal by now.

Trying to look at this from multiple viewpoints:

How long do we have to wait to trade Pat Beverley?

The cool thing about re-signing him, is that his contract is more tradeable now. We can get a little more in return.

If freaking Mario Chalmers is a starter on a Championship team, then DMo can be a starter on a Championship team. Are you sure you watched him play last year? When Dwight was out, DMo was a force to be reckoned with offensively. Defensively he has a lot to work on, but with Dwight protecting the paint we can be patient.

Lol at D Mo not being a starting 4 on a championship caliber team. D Mo is becoming an elite post player. Shoot 38-40 % from 3 and now you're talking about a special offensive player. His d is fine actually.

    Rebounding needs to be improved.

Dmo is not better than LMA.

But Dmo IS 24 years old. Has a better low post game than LMA, can step out and shoot the 3, can defend the post...

Not sure why any one would put a ceiling on him (Outside of injury), especially since he's a European player and would not be the first European player to drop in a draft but then eventually reach his potential. I mean if Dmo was coming INTO the NBA today after playing in college with those skills he'd be a top 5 pick and people would not be saying things like that.

Dmo may not be better than LMA but I know that should the two play each other it's not going to be some easy guard for LMA. Especially if Dmo hones the elite skills he already has. His post moves are not going to get worse...and neither is his shot.

Can we wait to see how SAS fills out their roster before we start crowning them? They gave up their only legit 5 and one of Joseph or Mills. They made a big move but they still have a lot to do to fill out the holes in that roster.

Count me as another who doesn't think the PF "hole" is as big as some make it seem. Until guys started dropping like flies, I thought we had probably the strongest and most versatile rotation at the 4 in the league -- a really nice mix of skills. I see secondary playmaking as a much more pressing need.

So what happened in the last 2 1/2 months [from when this was posted]? Unless, of course, you were joking?

    In before "San Antonio".

Where was Houston ranked on the list of teams he met with? No better than 4th [at best], if media reports are to be believed. [SA, PHX, POR --- also met with MIA, NY(didn't meet), LA, DAL, TOR, HOU]

    Is he still coming?

    And so much for that.

I really don't understand the concept of trying to hold cyberx to things said like 4-6 month ago, as if things could not have possibly changed in the interim.

I'd like to see D-Mo work on that mid-range jumper and maybe improve post defense.

    DMo is gawd.

    That is all.

24 years young. Doesn't rely on athleticism. We're talking about an elite low post scorer. Something that doesn't really exist anymore around the league.

Wouldn't mind having this guy. Good shooter, solid pro on a ****ty team.

i don't think anything happened except that LMA is a human with his own decisions and personal choices and cyber is not a mind reader or a future teller. We did go after him as he said. We didn't make it.

I think that Suns were ahead of us because they offered 1+1 retaining his bird rights which means MUCH more money. \
