rondo was offered 9.5 per and was the reason they signed bellineli. Which was before Bev signed with teh Rockets. He demanded bellineli he got him and he signed. Rondo would be in the team regardless of Bev.
No because it's not true. The Rockets didn't waste their MLE on Llull so they could pay Smith more than his non-Bird rights number.
Overall the negativity in this thread has to be at a max. If basketball games are math equations, why actually play any games?
Maybe now that Bev is locked in for a few years his D will return. But damn, it would be nice to have two good options at point guard instead of jason terry playing BIG minutes
It seems that no one is thinking about how awful the Spurs transition D will be. Or how any team with athleticism should be able to run them off the court. Or that if one of their geezers goes down, they are screwed. Oh well, it's the off-season, that's the time for overreaction.
But they were willing to knowing very well that if they did, Smith would leave. Says a lot about Morey's confidence in his return..
The player cannot be signed using the Non-Taxpayer Mid-Level exception, the Taxpayer Mid-Level exception, or any exception that cannot be used to offer a three-year contract (see question number 25). http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q91
And IF, just IF, they do, and it's not working (for true contention), you think Morey won't add a PG at mid season? People on this board forget what our roster looked like a year ago compared to the team that played in the WCF.
Guys, don't get me wrong. I would LOVE a PG rotation of Lawson and Bev. I just deem it as unrealistic. But if Bev is down to come off the bench and doesn't create a locker room issue, then I am down.
