This.....been beating the bring back Kmart drum all off season. He's efficient and can create his own shot. His contract is fine especially knowing the contract numbers that are coming. Getting Ty Lawson would be a steal too....if not him Rubio being a assist machine.I wish Morley would have done it all before free agency started but I don't criticize him because I understand what is at stake.
Kevin Martin doesn't want to be here. It seems to not work out well when a team has a player who doesn't want to be there.
TJ's nerve problem is no longer an issue. He is no more likely to have any more issues with it than any other player in the league. That's pretty wide spread knowledge.
I've seen a lot of posts about Kmart not wanting to be here but do we have any solid evidence of that besides us shipping him out? I don't see him turning down a chance coming to a contender.
Marc J. Spears on Twitter: The Magic has agreed to a three-year, $15 million deal with guard C.J. Watson, a source told Yahoo.
How do you know that?? You have inside info? That's a real question too, not a sarcastic shot. Plus it doesn't matter it he does or not...he's under contract and was traded for a MVP CANDIDATE. Lol I think he should be over his feelings.
Bodes well for any pursuit of Stuckey, who I would think demands less than Watson (maybe not a ton less).
When did this become the NBA Dish. At least find someway to make it Rockets related other than another nba player not available.
I think there was a report a while ago that said Martin wouldn't want to return to Houston if he were traded here. I could be wrong though.
This is probably the best online area for all nba ( especially during the offseason) - r/nba doesn't really count.
I seriously doubt this. They are very similar players, with the exception that Watson has always been a very good 3 PT shooter and is a better creator for others, while Stuckey is better at getting his own shot. Stuckey will get 4-5 per/demand all of or most of the MLE.
Hopefully Smoove takes the non-Bird contract of about 2.5 million for next season. Not sure about Stuckey. The Rockets will probably need to use a good portion of the MLE on KJ McDaniels. I doubt they want to use more than 3.376 million of the mid level exception since that would activate the hard cap. So assuming that they use 2.5 mil of the MLE on KJ McDaniels, that would leave less than a million to use on another free agent before activating the hard cap. So IMO the only way to sign Stuckey would be an S&T which would also activate the hard cap. That is not going to happen unless they know for sure that they are out of the LMA race. So I would not expect to hear any news involving Rodney Stuckey and the Rockets until after the LMA situation is settled.
Can someone explain to me why we still want or need McDaniels? We just resigned Brewer for 3 years. Ariza is signed for another 3 years. We just drafted Dekker who's best suited for small forward. Where are the minutes for McDaniels?
i think stuckey is in talks with indy and is waiting to see what happens with the Hibbert/jordan/chandler s+t situation so they can sign him. He will take at least 5-6 per. he had a very good season lasts year. He gambled and he won. That's why I don't think he will be a rocket next year. At least if we want to keep smith.
