Yep, right when Dwight is up as a free agent, with Paul and him talking about teaming up last time he was a free agent.

Dwight can be an unrestricted free agent next year, if he opts out of the 23million owed to him.

Since the cap is expected to rise to 90 million and he would be eligible to receive a salary starting at 35% of that (which is 31.5 million), its extremely likely he will.

Why is memphis helping the clippers. Koufos is the best center remaining. Come on memphis.

Aside from the 3 way sign and trade involving Hibbert, DJordan & Ellis, the Clippers can also try to get the Mavs to simply do a s&t for Djordan, buy taking on Feltons contract as the cost. That would leave Clippers with a huge trade exception to go after Hibbert, Koustas or someone esle.

Who would give him the max with his health problems (knee, back) and deteriorating athleticism?

Is he worth the max? Especially if his knee gets worse this upcoming season.

If his knees or back issues gets worst, meaning he misses 30+ games, performs poorly in the playoffs or clearly loses a step, opting out would probably not be likely. But then again Dwayne Wade opted out after he missed what 30+ games?

But if DHoward plays 60+ games, performs as he did in when he came back or in the playoffs, IMO there will be teams crazy enough to offer him a new 3-4 year contract starting at over 25+ million if not the max.

Don't know if he'd be worth the max of 31.5 million at age 30-31, but I wouldn't put it pass some of the gms in the nba to offer it.

It's the cap jump. Getting locked into the 5th year is actually a mandatory pay cut if he can stay healthy, and DJ has already made enough $ to take the higher expected value instead of the lower risk route. The TX no tax then piles on.

Was gonna mention this in my op...but, yes...Durant will get a ton of cash from the Clippers and Lakers. But why would he move to LA. For Durant...nothing matters more than winning. He makes crazy amounts of cash from his clothing/deals...an NBA salary isnt changing much...He will go to the place with the best fit to win a title...Aging CP3 and Blake Griffin wont be enough to lure him to the Clippers/and the unknown of DeAngelo and Randle.

I called it in another thread.

From what I have seen, Chris Paul had a very condescending attitude towards DAJ.

This is the same DAJ that was overly excited to find out Clippers got Chris Paul.
