Then they'd still lose to LMA on the Spurs, a healthy OKC, and probably the Warriors again, plus an upgraded Clippers squad.
A lot of idiots on this forum, Parsons DID NOT have microfracture. He will be ready for the start of camp. Lol one moron here said he was out for the year lol
I hope you understand the difference between what kind of team Orlando had vs the 76ers team that exclusively featured Evan Turner.
LOL we need a sarcasm font for that nonsense. People might think you are serious and it would ruin your reputation.
Exactly! All things point to this theory. Everyone seems frantic, but the rockets are calm, cool, collective. Have been fairly quiet... LMA is like the cool guy all the cute girls (SAS,phx, dallas) want to ask them out to prom, and the rockets are like the super hot chick that is more in LMA league who has a crush on him, but she's still dating someone and LMA is waiting for her to dump the old dude for him...
I wonder if Morey and Hinkie have a "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" agreement. Think about it. Hinkie is the one that took Royce off our hands for the rights to Aldemir and a 2nd. Then there's the head scratcher, where Hinkie inexplicably trades a promising KJ McDaniels for Canaan and a 2nd. Now he's supposedly our "drop box" if LMA picks Houston. I get that Hinkie is in the business of renting cap space for assets, but there's definitely some ties there.
You guys might think a classic poster like me would know this, but I did not. Thanks, mate. -Rocket Fan from Unknown Part of Earth
Probably is just that, but at this point its the only that can make sense of this situation. If LMA really had SAS and PHX as his frontrunners, why is he entertaining meetings with other teams and giving 2nd opportunities to others? Most everyone is reporting/expecting SAS, then why hasn't LMA signed there yet? SAS offers practically everything LMA would want, especially being a number 1 option and a HOF coach/teammates. Is he really that turned off by having to play some minutes at center? If LMA was really that "taken" with PHX's young talent and having to play with Tyson Chandler then why not sign there? Is he unsure they can compete, even if he joins? What is with the hold-up? Personally, I see Houston as the perfect blend between SAS and PHX. We offer a real chance to compete now and in the future, with HOF type talents in Harden and Howard, a solid supporting cast of veterans and young players and a great FO/coaching staff. The only problem is the money, but that can be solved if A) Bev or Brewer gets a sizable contract that we can convert into a S&T to help S&T LMA here to Houston or B) let Ariza go. To me it seems like LMA is stalling, and a reason he is stalling is to see if Houston can find the cap space to sign him. It's also fishy about how quiet the Rocket's have been lately. If they were really out of the LMA sweepstakes, then why not move on to another target? I understand holding out till the end but Morey understands when he needs to refocus on something else. Last year after the Bosh/Parsons debacle, Morey immediately signed Ariza even though Melo was still on the market. Of course the Rockets are doing things behind iron curtains but surely something should have came out by now.
I do, but still the magic this year only won 6 more games then the 76'ers last year... it would just seem scary / shady to give a player who put up big stats on a terrible team a huge contract. Turner had MCW, Young (who took just as many shots as he did) and Hawes on his team too, it's not like he was completely alone.
The fact that every single network and reporter out their isn't even mentioning Houston pretty much means he has ruled them out. I mean there would be at least someone saying LMA was still considering Houston.
I'm not saying we are getting LMA. It is going to be hard to do, as we will have to engage in S&T, ideally with Pbev as has been mentioned. I wouldn't read too much into what the media are saying at this point. Look if the media, consistently said that HOU is out of the LMA sweepstakes (like they are saying with the Knicks/Lakers) there'd probably be some truth to it - some sources would have heard this from LMA camp. Weirdly enough though, HOU isn't even being mentioned by most people - as if LMA and HOU never even met - we shall find out soon enough! If it happens, great ...if it doesn't happen, I'm sure Morey's got frameworks to other deals worked out already.

When you are mum on what kind of surgery you had people are going to assume the worst and rightfully so.
Look at Harris' Per 36 numbers It's pretty consistent. Now look at Turner's Look at that "break out" year when he scored 17 ppg. He needed to jack up 15 shots a night on 42% shooting to get there. If anything, the PER should tell you enough that Harris has been a solid player while Turner had one fluke season where he was given the green like to do whatever he wanted.
Players coming off of Achilles' injuries typically don't recover fully, especially in Year 1 post injury. I am really not worried about the Mavs short term or long term.
