Just came out that he is going to meet with the Raptors later this week. We can only hope that he takes the weekend to think about it and the National Anthem has the same effect on him as it did on Dwight and he chooses the Rockets.

Regardless of what Aldridge decides to do I am pumped about seeing Triple H all on the floor at some point next season - HARDEN * HOWARD * HARRELL - The Rockets are going to be the new lob city if we keep him. Have y'all seen Harrell dunk?? Good LORD!

Spurs seem to be the best choice for him. He's playing with aging stars so he'll be able to take the reign soon. And as much as we all hate to admit, they're a pretty good organization.

I don't hate to admit that. Props where they're due. But we give him the better chance to win, particularly as his four year contract progresses and Spurs stars (and likely coach) retire. If he wants to be the first option the Spurs are a better pick. If he wants to play with the better roster, it's close but that's us.

Long term I think Rockets are a better fit...especially once Duncan is gone...how much does Ginnoblli have in the tank? If LMA is looking long term then I'm not so sure the Spurs are the best match...guess time will tell

Houston offers LMA the best chance for multiple championships.

This is the guy that reported the thing about three finalist teams. He's a sports radio talk guy in Phoenix.

Aldridge not interested in playing the 5 which he would do a lot in San Antonio. Suns having Chandler/Len appealing to him.

Ok just got another round of news on the Lamarcus Aldridge front from those very close to the situation so here goes.

I would think that if Aldridge really doesn't want to play the 5, then playing alongside Dwight Howard would be a lot more appealing than Chandler/Len...

If Spurs make so much sense for LMA as everyone thinks, especially given they already have cap space, why isnt it already a done deal?

With all the other nonsensical signing out there you would think this one would already be in the bag.

I have a feeling Aldridge might not be too high on Spurs. He might still go there but he is definitely having second/third thoughts about it.

Being intrigued by Phoenix may make LMA realize what he doesn't love about SAS which is their lack of a five.

Perhaps that helps is in that we can offer what intrigued him about PHX but a better chance to win.

of course the phoenix guy is selling phoenix as an interesting landing spot..

someone here said it earlier...the phoenix suns adding LMA does not make them any better than the portland teams in the past.

the 2 PG-ballhog heavy system doesn't work...and is he really impressed by Tyson signing?

i'm curious as to why the SA deal hasn't been finalized because to me, that is the best place/situation for him..

but if he's not keen on playing the 5, i'm a little bit more optimistic about our play.

who wouldn't want to play with harden?

Sounds more like local media hyping things up for Suns in Phoenix. The "very close" guys are obviously from Suns.

If Aldridge wants to play with a legit center then Houston has one as well as a much better team than the Suns.

The Suns management is a mess.

He will be playing with 2 centers and 8 point guards in Phoenix.

I keep seeing people say that Spurs are his best option....are people just repeating talking points??? Yes, maybe a good option for one more year then what? duncan is almost 40!! Manu will be 38 this month! Parker is 33
They would have one good run left and COULD win this year, then what!?

Duncan retires...Manu prob retires and when Duncan leaves there is a possibility that Pop leaves too especially if the win a title. Then the team is Aldridge, Kwail and a 34 Parker? So that Spurs team would be better than the Portland team he left?

Come on....The Rockets have 25 superstar harden and a 29 Howard he could team up for the next 4 years. Its seems easy enough with my rosie red colored glasses lol He plays with a real center and can play his natural position where he can shoot all the mid ranges his heart desires. Dwight would hold all the big guys...He wouldnt have to carry the scoring load with harden. Come on...lolol I'm a homer...forgive me lol

People believe that the Spurs are a great fit for him because he would have a great chance at a championship this season, then Duncan and Ginobli would retire and it would be "his team" (along with Leonard, and possibly still Parker) in an organization that has a proven record of building championship caliber teams around a solid core.

I just think the last thing anyone(other than rocket fans and LMA himself) wants to see is LMA coming to Houston... the rockets are clearly the best option, perfect fit playing your natural position along side a defensive minded dominant center and a young stuper star shooting gaurd... If I was not a rockets fan I'd be praying lamarcus chooses anywhere but houston... Which is why I would not be surprised if LMA had verbally committed to The rockets after Moreys "flooring" analytical presentation.. It's just the most logical choice. Things have been too quiet for the rockets. You know what they say, the night is darkest before the dawn!
