Pat is a $3 - $4 mil player. I love that Morey doesn't overpay for the hype that he has created. Dallas is going to be pissed when Chandler plays less games than Dirk
Considering the cap might be $115m by 2017... I'd say he's worth more than such a small % of a team's payroll.

4 year 32 million is a great contract for both. Knicks are rebuilding this year, salary cap will go up in the next 2 years, this contract is much more like 4-6 mill a year. Good for both sides. Pat Bev appreciation thread coming soon.
Match what? Has he signed an offer sheet yet? If so, what are the terms? Bev at 5 or 6 mil is not overpaid. I am sure someone will offer more than that.
Will be interesting to see what the Market is for Beverley. If the free agency market is anything like the trade market for PGs, it should be cheap.
Stop being so dramatic. Beverley was not as good as he was the year before but was still a net positive on the court both offensively and defensively. We are not in a position to just "let him go", especially without any suitable replacements. That is just a dumb way of approaching his free agency.
Gotta love his energy tho. His wont quit attitude is contagious for the players and fans. Would hate to lose PatBev
Gotcha, I probably would to. Stuckey or Llull would probably be better value. I just haven't seen anything official about a 4 yr. 32 mil offer. If there has been one I must have missed it. I see where the poster on page 1 says "4 yr/32 mil" but that is obviously not a trusted source. From everything I have read they have had discussions with Bev but not sure an offer has been made. My guess is some team will be dumb enough to offer him 4 yr/32 mil but remember it will tie NYK or DAL cap up so they won't be able to make offers to Afflalo and/or Monroe. Bev being restricted may save him from getting crazy offers on day #1 as teams like the Knicks and Mavs have bigger plans hopefully than Patrick Beverley.
I honestly think Beverly is damaged goods. His defense suffered greatly last year (at times he was the worst defender on the court). I don't think his knee is completely healthy. You can watch film from any game last year and see him being slow on rotations or just allowing opposing PG's to blow right past him. He is not the same defender that he was two years ago.

As long as Bev isn't interested in winning a championship and is only following the money trail, then I'm sure he would fit in nicely in NY.
