Wonder if this in any way was done so quickly to show LMA something to get him to stay.

I don't see how Aminu is an improvement over Batum. Batum wasn't good last year, but was still better than Aminu has ever been, except for a 5 game playoff series.

Nice job by Aminu's agent turning that playoff series into a real nice payday for his client.

Man some of these mediocre players are getting paid. For that guy to get nearly 8 million per year is absurd.

Good. It weakens the Mavs and won't be enough to keep Portland in the playoffs if Aldridge bolts. Advantage Rockets.

Batum was making more than the Blazers will be paying Aminu.

Not really. There are guys with less talent or guys that have shown no upside who are getting that and more right now. At least the Blazers I believe are placing their bet that the playoff performance was a sign of things to come. I guess I'm in the camp that thinks it will turn out right for the team and Aminu.

I think its an ok deal, Aminu's future potential could be worth 8M. Lol for Mavs btw, letting the only guy who gave a damn in the series leave for nothing.

With the cap going up, I think this could be a very good deal for the Blazers.

As for the Mavs, they can suck it.

Great deal for both Aminu and the Blazers. They flipped Batum quite well here. This is even better than CP25 to Ariza flip.

Portland is quietly having a great offseason.

If you're going to lose a star player and a few starters, restocking the pool of talent with Vonleh (a lottery pick last year), Aminu (Draymond Green-esque player, still only 24), Gerald Henderson (3 & D player), and Mason Plumlee is pretty great moves.

Mason Plumlee is ready to breakout

Aminu could definitely breakout if he carries over his play from last year.

Vonleh is raw and young but a promising talent

Meyers Leonard is ready to breakout

CJ McCollum is definitely ready to breakout

All these moves and Portland is still like $30 million under the cap.

Portland will have a transition year next year, but if you have to rebuild the roster, this is the way to do it. Acquire young talent that has shown promise but come at a cheap price. I think their front office is having a sneaky great offseason.

i really like the deal for amino and the blazers, they have retooled their lineup and the drop off between datum to amino wasn't that large.

you can tell their now accumulating assets in the hope of a trade down the line for a 2nd all star
