    Capela > dalembert
amare is useless on defense so if he's not playing next to dwight, you're giving up a lot (pf depth should not be an issue so I don't get this at all)
Rashard is done. We can do bette .

It would be a bless if we could trade kpap for joseph s+t. Ofc that would take us out of aldridge but by this night or at latest tomorrow morning when he has the meeting with the spurs we will know anyway.
Btw cant see any spurs happening before they meet him. What if he agrees straight up with la?

Summary: Mavs pitch will revolve around how DeAndre played without a PG because in Dallas he will play without a PG.

I'd rather take mills, that'd clear more room for SAS and give us a good shooter to space the back court

Same pitch two years in a row? :)

Come to Dallas Chandler! We can give you a bigger role! You can become a star!

Come to Dallas DeAndre! We can give you a bigger role you're seeking! You can become a star!

I completely agree that for competitive reasons it makes total sense for Rockets fans to hope the Mavs max out someone like DeAndre Jordan with no ability whatsoever to add play-making around him. He's a pick and roll big, and needs a guard that can get him easy dunks. And with DJ leaving the Clippers... wow... they might not even make the playoffs with CP3 getting a year older. That's good news because Utah, NOLA, and yes even Minnesota could take a huge step forward this year.

Also they are really trying to sell in the local Dallas media that Parsons is going to turn into this super dominant point forward, and Parsons himself even claimed to be "The Best Play-Making Forward in the League"... (ugh Lebron have anything to say about that?).

    ......

What would be crazier though would be if the Mavs did sign LaMarcus Aldridge and had to play him at the 5.... which no matter how they try to sell it (they are also trying to sell that Tyson would come back at a discount maybe...haha), they have no means to put a halfway decent 5 next to LaMarcus.

So LMA, Dirk, and Parsons as your 5,4,3.... wow. Talk about a defensive front line that scares nobody.

This offseason again is about the Mavs winning July more than winning in May/June. I know Cuban is still a very good owner, but I'm so glad that we have a owner & GM that understand that playing the long game is more important than the perception of "Winning July".

Here is really nothing from the Lowe/Stein podcast

Stein: Rumblings in SA they were going after both Gasol & Aldridge.

Lowe: LaMarcus approached Gasol on the floor during a game [in the playoffs] and asked about teaming up in free agency. LaMarcus and his camp vehemently deny this.

Stein: (Wade) No market for him at the dollars he wants. End of the day, they'll figure it out.

Stein: (DeAndre) Mavs or Clippers. I have heard the skepticism of can he bring himself to leave Hollywood? Clippers will be harder for him to walk away from.

(Lowe: About getting meetings and changing perceptions--Clippers/LeBron; DeAndre not meeting with Milwaukee; Aldridge meeting with Toronto-is that him doing them a solid or does he really want hear what they want to say?) Stein: For a lot of teams, that step does matter. NY and LA will always get the meetings. Houston doesn't have cap space to get Aldridge yet they get a meeting. There is some value in that and enhances the reputation of your franchise. Rockets are movers and shakers. It is...you have to hat tip them for getting in the mix when they don't have cap space. It matters.

Stein: (Beverley) I would imagine Houston wants to keep him.

Lowe: Houston will deem him non-essential if the price gets too high.

SO far 551 posts in 11 days for an average of 50 posts a day, you're well on track to surpass DD in a few years.

    Keep posting mate.

The window of opportunity is now for the Rockets. But the biggest decision has to be if netting a player like LMA puts the Rockets over the top. Lemarcus does address the low post scoring threat the team desperately needs...but it may cost the team "depth". IN today's NBA, depth has shown to be key in winning titles and remaining healthy.

If any lessons are to be learned, it has to be from the Cavs 2014 postseason. All it took was a major injury to Love to derail the chance the Cavs had for the title. Losing Irving in the finals was yet another consequence of adding strain on the remaining stars left... In the end Lebron was left having to generate everything against a team that remained healthy, and had tremendous depth.

The Rockets do have everything they need to make a run back to the WCF, but they have to address offensive continuity. Adding a play maker allowing Harden to play more of a 2 guard position makes sense. Adding players like Brandon Knight on cheaper deals may allow the Rockets to build depth and have pieces for flexibility as the season progresses. This route makes the most sense...

IN THE END, trades that Morey didnt make ended up working out very well for this team...Not trading for LMA may very well be yet another example of such. GO Rockets!!!

If the mavericks max out deandre I would be so happy. I would love to see him play without a legit ball handler and watch mark cuban cry on the sidelines as his team gets bounced in the first round year after year. Also the clips would lose their 3rd best player and best defensive player and will no longer be a legit contender. only person i feel bad for is CP3 because he really played hard against us... but at the end of the day screw every player that isn't on the rockets

Does anyone find it strange that we have heard nothing on which teams will visit love? It cant be certain yet that he will return without even letting himself wined and dined and courted?
    Will morrey visit him?

I don't believe anything espn says about the lakers. Their headquarters is across the street they want LA to do good more than any team because that's the home team, Their clutchfans to the lakers.

I don't doubt free agents give serious look at LA but not because they think they can win titles their. They look at them because their agents want them in La because they can make more money..... More money for the player more money for the agent. If I'm not mistaken agents make a lot more money off endorsements deals then hey do off max contracts. (Cyber help me put with that)

I really doubt harden is going anywhere unless Houston doesn't want him anymore. He bought a house in river oaks for his mom, he has the keys to the city were a big market even bigger city and we have a franchise known for success and run by good people. He's been here 3 years and we've made the playoffs every year got him more talent and have sit downs with every max free agent. He's staying till he gets a statue outside Toyota and is retired.

It is strange that there are no teams are scheduled to meet Love. There was a report that he was planning on resigning with the Cavs.

The latest was that he will meet teams though. And now in the last few days total silence. I dont believe he suddendly at the eleventh hour completely changed his mind after flirting with free agency all year long.

Cyber? Do you have any info on love?
