What interest that hasn't really been talked about do you predict for the Rockets? My guess is Wes Matthews. If Aldridge were to leave and not choose Houston (LA or SA), I think Portland would be a lot more open to getting an asset or two via S&T in return for Wes to aid in the rebuilding or restructuring process. He can guard guards and hit the three like crazy. It's a gamble with the achilles, but we'd probably structure the deal to represent that.
It's bad, but my expectations have risen lol. Not really to Lamarcus Aldridge/Kevin Love tier, but I do hope we can target some outside free agents. I'd be all over Paul Milsap and I'd like Cory Joseph as well. I think either of those players is attainable with S&T options.
I agree with one deviation: if there is any sort of market for bev I think we walk away. Someone will throw him an offer greater than his value and Morey isnt the overpay type.
I think someone is going to give Wes a big contract that won't make sense for the Rockets. If he gets less than $10 million I'll be surprised.
I hope your right. We need to get Harden some help with playmaking. I need to see a Houston team in a championship game. I got my wish when the Steelers and Penguins won championships awhile back. Houston needs to step it up. The Astros went a few years ago, but got hammered.
Literally made me lol  My manager yelled out of her office "Get to work" Get off of that 'Clutch Fanatics' website" LOL! Thanks for getting me in trouble BamBam lol
Someone will gamble on him returning to health, even if it's just a 1 year deal for $10 million or something, someone is going to give money this offseason. Portland might just offer him a big deal for 1 year.
This is not the place to talk about the Penguins, but I will give you a quick answer. The penguins have not found the right players right now around Crosby and Malkin. Besides that I really do not know. If you can believe it I am worst educated on Hockey right now than Basketball. I was a hockey fanatic when I live in Pittsburgh the first 81/2 years of my life. Then when the penguins went to the cellular I picked up basketball, Football, and Baseball.
Depends on whether you think he's a good fit (I do), but I would pay him that. It just depends what teams are willing to risk for him. He and Danny Green would be great on this squad, but both will be near $12 million and likely out of our reach. Just seems like something we wouldn't be very happy about until about 6-8 months from now (aka the Morey move). In the end though, it's not our main need, and I would much rather bring in another playmaker. On your Millsap comment, he would be amazing, but I just don't see him leaving ATL at all. With the injuries the had in the playoffs, I bet he still likes ATL's chances. I could be way off there, though. Maybe he's realized that was probably that team's ceiling.
Fully expecting the Mavs to give him 3 year $24m just to spite Morey. Then we will go to Europe and find another diamond in the rough (Llull and/or Player B). I am looking forward to see if Nick Johnson can elevate his game this season. Year 1 to 2 transition should be pretty noticeable among Rockets players so hopefully he can see some decent minutes. Or maybe that's between Year 2 and 3? Either way, I love that our farm system out in Rio Grande is paying dividends.
You'd have to get him in a sign and trade - unless you want to dump ariza, beg and brewer for the honor of offering $10m/year. Also I believe he's a shooting guard - the same position our mvp plays...perhaps not a good use of money when our PG position is seriously hurting.
If you bring in Danny Green you're still left wanting a playmaker, sure, but he brings what the Rockets also need--perimeter defense and 3 point shooting. I'd love to have Danny Green on this team. Would he be redundant to what Ariza gives us? Sure but with the hybridization of the positions in the NBA right now trotting out plus wing defenders 48 minutes a night would be highly beneficial.
Im a big stars fan and I loooove the nhl playoffs, I always feel like the penguins are going to make a slash but they cme up short o well stars didnt even make the playoffs. hoping the nhl comes to houston
The one thing that GS winning the championship should have taught us is that traditional positions are a thing of the past. Curry is only a point guard by size and by old metrics. He's a shooting guard that passes which is what Harden does as well. Draymond Green can defend multiple positions. You bring in another 3&D guy you're not restricting Harden's game--you're actually complementing it by the fact that he now has another shooter to pass to (making him THAT more deadly off the dribble) and another guy that can pick up the defensive slack when he can't. Would I take a Lowry or Dragic over Danny Green? Of course I would but getting a player that can defend 3 positions and shooting 40% from 3 isn't THAT much of a drop off considering Harden averages 7+ assists a night and has the ball in his hands on most possessions any way.
