Wipe the drool off your shoulder, bud. The new gay marriage legislation got you down?

obie is not astros worthy. I would have given the accidental throw at a rod a standing ovation if weren't down 8 runs. There is a place and a time for it.

Jon Singleton is a AAAA type player. Not due to talent but do to work ethic. He should be included in any trade for a SP. (Possibly as a headliner.)

FIFY…hitting him would have been a nice first step to begin with.

Im not as mad at him as many people are. He was clearly out of line and pissed off, but he learned his lesson. You can see the frustration when he got into the dugout. Actually, I like seeing that kind of fire and passion. Granted, he let it get out of control, BUT, at least you know he cares.

I feel like every week that passes, we are in more of a need to trade for a starting pitcher. This is my biggest concern moving forward. We have a ton of talent/prospects to give away. We need to make something happen, preferably sooner than later.

Singleton can't headline anything anymore, and I'm not sure if other teams would actually view him as an asset.

God he overreacted and was a little out of line. Unless there is some history of this, which there isn't to the best of my knowledge, everybody is grossly overblowing this. He didn't hit him in the head or anything.

Saying this is performance based is ridiculous, because he been a rock solid starter in the bigs. I imagine this is just a statement demotion and he returns fairly quickly.

I don't think Oberholtzer will be part of the Astros organization for much longer. The demotion was meant to send him a message. Nevermind the stupidity he exhibited yesterday...he just isn't a very good pitcher. His command is poor...he either can't throw strikes at all, or throws batting practice right down the middle. Wouldn't surprise me if the Astros traded him in the near future.

This team is trying to compete for a playoff spot. They cannot affort to have weak-ass, thin-skinned pitchers on the staff, derailing that essential objective. Either Oberholtzer grows up quickly and starts pitching better, or the Astros quickly ship his punk ass outta there. The choice is his.

Lets go Astros. We've had a lot of breaks go the other teams way recently, time to turn it around.

Obie sucked, then pulled a punk move. No respect for that.

Altuve's error might be the worst call ever. Not only was runner called safe, he also tripped Jose with no call. AND THEY HAD REPLAY TO SEE IT

Too bad Sipp's HR nullified the complaint.

Great comeback attempt, great job by Hernandez saving the bullpen, Correa hasn't shown any flaws. But the Astros are starting to lose too many games. The bullpen is falling off. Luckily the division is weak and the lead is 4 games. Stros need to play better especially with KC on deck.

    A career 3.91 ERA, and a 3.69 FIP.

Oberholtzer has most certainly not been a bad pitcher. He got lit up in one game. He had a 2.81 ERA before that start. He's certainly better than Feldman, Straily and Hernandez.

Seriously for a person that had no incidents prior, people are f**king overreacting to a pitcher "nearly" hitting somebody. Pitchers have been throwing at people since the sport started. Hell pitchers were lauded for keeping guys honest, yet people are acting as if Oberholtzer beaned somebody in the head.

    I agree with this fully

And I don't even understand why so many are so against Obie all of the sudden. Hopefully this move means they feel like a trade is going to happen before his next turn comes up, cause he is easily the best option we have for his rotation spot right now.

All the "this" goes to this post. The reaction to Obie is downright laughable.

Is the benefit of the doubt no longer a thing, because when I was younger, that concept was utilized quite a bit...
