I think he might be catholic just from my looking at him. Altho i see no crosses around his neck. Maybe Shinto or Buhdist?? what do yall think?
All basketball aside, why does it matter what religion he is? And why would he be Shinto, considering budhism is passed from China to Japan? And no he's not catholic.
If you know his religion, one might get an indication about his life philosophy, his morals and ethics. One wonders because he seems a very good person, with an emphasis on being a team player. Such a pure type person might have difficulty being a Star in American eyes. I am interested to know how you know about Yao Mings Religion?
Most Chinese in Shanghai that I know of are more or less atheists. But while most people from Shanghai are atheists, there is a fairly strong influence of taosim and confucism in the way of their way of life, even when most don't know it.
Err, no. As fervent as one gets in a religion, that doesn't mean that he/she will actually perform according to what he/she preaches. Look at those kid-abusing priests, and monks who turn their temples into businesses and driving mercedes? But most chinese who are not atheist are either "taoist plus buddist" or buddhist or christian. Shinto is mostly for Japanese not Chinese.
