Looks like a typical Rockets shot chart with 3s and at the rim. Hopefully he can get consistent 3-pt range and then we're in business.
Over his three-year career in Madison, Dekker became somewhat of a gym rat. Sure, he came in as a highly heralded talent based off his pure ability alone, but he made tremendous leaps between his freshman and junior seasons. I mean, it’s barely even the same person in these two photos.
We should be ashamed for comparing him to only other white guys. Before the draft, he tells us who he likes to be compared to. Normal basketball fans make the distinction between SF, PF, and center. Rockets fans believe those are all the same positions. Happened with the Parsons pick too. I'm inclined to believe the Rockets can draft Magic Johnson and the replies would be "Undersized PF?"
Someone said he can only dunk. From the highlight vid that was posted, I saw lots of 3's. I like the way he cuts to the basket and also attacks the rim for rebounds and put backs. Kid has hops Good handles in transition too. Let's don't string up a noose before he even has a chance to play
It's his fault someone highlighted his dunks? Joe Alexander wasn't a perimeter player. No handles...He just dunked and did a turnaround in the post. That's it. Dekker is all versatility. He can drive, shoot, post up, etc. Jack of all trades, master of none type. Kind of safe pick, actually.
jk, actually looks like chandler parsons with post game and better jump shot *you want to be the team that drafts the parsons, not overpays them*
I like the pick I ain't going to lie. He needs to bulk up a bit, he is an all-around NBA player IMO. Hopefully Kevin McHale puts him into the Rotation. #Rockets
