    Pitching Probables

8/5 R. Villone vs NYM (Leiter)

8/6 W. Miller vs NYM (Heilman)

8/7 T. Redding vs NYM (Trachsel)

I am thinking of going to the game on tuesday, and being a cheapie I am going to go for that 2 ticks for like $2 deal, with the large coke wrapper.

*Villone has been great for the astros. A 3-1 Pitcher with a low ERA for the price of a minor league player...gotta love it. One bright spot.

    *No more Pete Munro.

Since i will be at the game on tuesday... I am hoping for....

    WLW

    Predictions.....

i think if we were to lose a game it would be to leiter in the first game. his record is good at 10-5, his era is a little high, but thats because he got off to a rocky start, but has been dominant lately. And Villones control is starting to make his outings shorter and likely costly. Wade Miller will bounce back from the horrible start in atl.

The Astros are going to bust out the broom sticks on the Mets.

The Mets suck. If we don't sweep then there is something wrong with the heart of this team. We need to stomp these guys.

The following winning teams (.500 or higher) must have no heart as they have all played series in which they did not sweep the Mets:

    St. Louis
    Chicago
    Montreal
    Houston
    San Francisco
    Seattle
    Philadelphia
    Florida
    Arizona
    Atlanta
    Los Angeles
    Colorado

It looks like the Yankees are the only winning team that the Mets have played that have heart.

Obviously, there's never a 'sure thing' in baseball, but it's sad when I have no confidence in a win when Miller is pitching this year. :(

We should sweep, but you know us...

    I say we'll win 2 of 3...Miller loses...

Any info on how far the Tony Clark HR went? It hit the "A" on the All-Star banner hanging over the Crawford boxes. That was a serious blast.

Leiter's cap brim has a nice little shiney spot the size of a half dollar. I wonder what that could be? ;)

Watch for it, his right side.

    Ron Villone is getting hammered.

Someone needs to point out that meatballs over the center of the plate - those aren't good.

Boy, this is some bad base running this inning, followed up by some bad fielding.

its official...cardinals lost...so this game wont really matter much standings wise...just shows management that we are in need of TWO starters, not one.
