This. It was a ballsy move, but such a great one in hindsight. Congrats to management for doing their job and doing it well.
The hawks won 61 games with a 22-8 record vs the west and BEAT the warriors but people forget that. If the western conference wasn't so injury plagued this season the warriors probably end of with a low 60's win total. Still a great season but just not as dominate as peoppe are trying to make it seem.
Will not have to next season. The Rockets will take care of that, you will see. It will be fun to watch.
I think we need to add another all star or improve both PF and PG substantially. Cleveland and GS are better. Beverly and Donatas help, but likely not strong enough to take the title. We are top 4-6 right now. And that's a solid. It gives us a chance. But more work to do.
This is a thread about the NBA Finals. Harden wasn't in the NBA Finals. Please trot your boring and repetitive and not-new Harden hate back to the GARM. Or even better, just spare us all.
I'm still bitter but glad that The Warriors won. I can at least take some comfort that the Rockets did lose to the best team in basketball.
I still say that if Cavs had Irving and Love, they would've won the championship. GS was a really good team, indeed but Cleveland's defense really held them in check. Let's not forget, aside for a few good quarters, Curry was hitting nothing most of the series. The problem with the Cavs is that they have nobody that can create their own shot outside of Lebron.
Tinman, as THE '99'er around here, if you want to pass the baton on your job to "protect the memory of Clutch City at all costs," that's okay. I know it's a heavy burden to constantly bring up events that happened 20 years ago with irrational fervor, but hey, with great status comes great responsibility. I'm sure we can find another '99'er (or dare I say '00'er?) to take over for you. (You've changed, bro.) Oh, and screw GSW and their bandwagon fans.

Except if Love and Irving are playing, they aren't playing that type of defense. It was the fact that Lebron did everything on offense that allowed everyone else to basically put all their effort onto the defensive side. Tristan Thompson and Delly are playing much fewer minutes if Love/Irving are healthy. As a result, Cleveland likely plays a much more traditional style which might not have actually worked that much better. On a side note, outside of a bad Game #2, Curry basically did his thing. He averaged 26/6/5, and he had his normal shooting %s in 5 of the 6 games. Klay Thompson was the one that really seemed out of sorts, and he's been that way for much of the playoffs.
TEAM DEPTH... Health is part of the game (and one of the most important of all) after all. And it won't be handed to you on a SILVER platter either. Got it?
Game one before Kyrie went down his defense was absolutely tremendous. Idk if you're being serious...
