Why in the world would Detroit give up a draft pick with him? He's on the last year of his deal and they have no need of additional cap room immediately.
No reason. Not a big agent market , need wing that will be at their draft range and they still have sime cap room anyway. They wont go after joe johnson now that they got ily. So they have no incentive to dump jennings by adding picks. they may dump him for nothing though. Because historically about 1/3 of the players with achilles never come back to play again.
Diebler is killing it in EuroCup, at least by the look of his numbers. Haven't seen any film to see if his defense is remotely NBA ready. Shooting 50% from 3 though (2.9/5.8). But as K Papa can attest to, sometimes the 3 ball doesn't cross the pond with the player. http://www.basketball-reference.com/euro/players/jon-diebler-1.html For those curious.
Diebler's jumper is wet and would translate very easily to the NBA. It's the rest of his game that's questionable.
http://www.blazersedge.com/2015/6/1...-lamarcus-aldridge-sign-trade-houston-rockets Blazer's Edge Podcast discussed a potential LaMarcus Aldridge sign and trade to the Houston Rockets.
I know a lot of you guys don't watch sportscenter because of their lack of local content but you need to check in every once in a while to ensure what you're saying is not completely stupid. Brandon Jennings had a ruptured achilles, he will not be playing meaningful basketball for one full calender year. Why would you TRADE for a player that's not going to contribute immediately? Does not sound like a Morey deal
Carlos Delfino? Elton Brand? Luis Scola? Chuck freaking Hayes? WTF? Still no competent backup center? What ******* year is this? I don't want Aldridge if this is what our bench will look like. This is pathetic
A NBA playing rotation is 8-9 players. If third stringers have to play that team is in trouble anyway.
You have Carlos Delfino backing up James Harden and Joey Dorsey relieving Dwight. So basically James and Aldridge are playing 48 mins a night, Aldridge will have to play some center which means with his defense the lane is wide open every time Dwight takes a rest.
Just to clarify, they're commenting on a proposed trade that a Rockets fan posted on their site. The trade is D-Mo, T-Jones, Brewer, Papa, and a first round pick for Aldridge. Not sure about the salaries or if Brewer would even agree to a sign-and-trade, but if the Blazers were looking at losing Aldridge, they probably won't do much better than that if they're hoping to get something in return. Personally, I don't know if I'd do that deal. Aldridge is terrific, but that still leaves the Rockets without a PG(unless Llull agrees to come over) and it gives up their best trade assets for getting one.
Pretty sure a trade for Aldridge would have to include Capella (best trade asset) and Ariza (for salary purposes).
