No new primary uni's this year, but at least the current uni's are losing the wide shoulders. Also we are getting a new alternate uni, and a clutch city uniform. We all still want new uni's, but at least we get quite a few changes for next season.
When are these things usually unveiled? Is there a certain date that teams like to unveil new alternates or is it pretty random?
When we got our current red/yellow alternate they announced it on September 24th. We may have a long summer wait to see them.
Yeah, I'm reading the article on this site when we got a look at the Chinese jersey they wore this year, and the date of the article was September 29th. So you're right... probably late September around media day time.
Really? I heard they were working on a clutch city uni but couldn't get it through. I'll be surprised if we have new alts and the pride jersey this season.
The Adidas catalog already came out and it confirms that the Rockets will have a Clutch City jersey. It is going to be the home and away jerseys with the slimmer silhouette, a "Los Rockets" jersey, a sleeved alternate jersey that uses the current red and silver color scheme, and a Clutch City jersey.
Surprising that they are going to produce a new sleeved jersey when they are likely moving away from sleeved jerseys altogether. As I understand it, adidas included a call out in the catalog, but it was TBD. Has adidas ever included something in their catalog that doesn't end up getting produced? I heard that adidas ended up not moving forward with the clutch city jersey
I think that was before last season. They had planned on the Clutch City jersey to be ready for this past season, but they didn't get anything submitted in time or something like that. But this year it's confirmed.
They changed the jerseys and chose the design of a fan who won a freaking contest, oh man...glad they spoke the truth even back then!!
Everyone loves to hate on those pinstripe jerseys. Back in the 90's they were the best in the league. Go look at Vancouver and Toronto. That was the style at the time.
Apparently. I was in middle school and there wasn't anyone who didn't rush out to get the pin stripe Hakeem, Horry, Elie, Drexler, Barkley or Pippen jersey. You were clowned on if you still had the red and yellow. Now everyone wants to be a hipster about it and claim they've always loved the old school red and yellow and always despised the "pajama" pin stripes.
lol, les only gave the dude $1000 we should have hired the dude who drew the simpsons or beavis and butthead
