I'd love to have an Aussie on the Rockets team (naturally being Australian myself). And as much as I'm happy for Delly right now, I'd still take Beverley if the choice was between the 2. The only downside to Beverley is the number of injuries over the past 2 seasons.

He's got some major size over Bev which is an advantage on defense.

Exactly right. We need a guard/wing who can create offense by either making the right pass or making his own shot.

With Harden out there, teams suffocate him and they can afford to since a lack of another wing/guard that can create off the dribble.

Dragic would have been nice. Imagine a PG combo of Dragic/Bev...smh

I'd take him for a bench role, but still need that secondary playmaker.

My favourite would be Conley since we also need defense. Griz have had the same core for years, and still can't get it done. They might look for some changes and maybe Conley is one of them.
I like Teague too, but ATL did too well this season for ATL to give him up.

Finally, Lawson is the most getable player. I don't like him as much because he isn't a good defender, but at least a realistic opportunity.

I would rather stick with Bev, or try going after Cory Joseph if possible. Regardless of Bev, Joseph or Delly, may not be the starter we need. Hoping Morey can bring in Llull.

He might be better than Bev because he doesn't think he's better than he actually is. Bev likes taking superstar shots

Maybe I'll eat my words re preferring Bev over Delly. He's holding curry to 5 mid way through the 3rd, whilst puting up 13 himself.

I stayed away from this thread at first because I thought it was your typical knee jerk thread. But after tonight's game if you are Dellavedova do you really settle for being Kyrie's backup after dropping 20 in the finals on the mvp?

    That is a real question.

Pretty sure Dellavedova just scored the all time high for an Australian in the NBA finals.

Dude's crazy-fearless like an Ewok warrior, flying around without any concern for his own body, or anyone else's. Winner.

Heck, he looks like an Ewok.

He's better than bev. Because he can make shots and shoot free throws.

Hello James, it's Daryl. You said you wanted some guard help. We're bringing in Dellavedleaguer and you will share point guard duties with him. I hope that is OK with you. Call me back when you get this.

Quite possible given Mills from the Spurs, Longley with the Bulls back in the day are the only other Aussies with significant game time in the finals.
Good on him also (Delly) that is.
Mills highest was 17 in last years final.
